Definitely would be worth bringing in.

That’s true, their formula makes no sense.

Was really impressed with Dailey’s group during the preseason game.

His 2021 PFF grade is one of, if not the worst PFF grades I’ve ever seen… 34.5

Is the losing Teppers fault?
MillionDollarCam replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Charlotte Football Club
Like any other sport I think it’s really tough to compete if you don’t get the coaching position right. I’m still not sure that they have that position right, mind you. -

I don’t think it’s his fault because you can’t really spend to win unless you are already in a position to win (like LAFC). With that said, I think Krneta deserves a lot of blame for the way the season shaped out. I think this team could have made the playoffs, the depth pieces are there. However, Krneta hired a coach and then brought four or so of his guys in… that coach was ultimately fired and his players are now gone. This team would have been in a much better position had they gotten the manager position right the first time. -
For those interested Carolina fans, Ty Chandler’s career is off to a good start. 5 carries - 50 yards 1 kick return - 56 yards 106 all purpose yards

Give me three players that impressed you on Saturday
MillionDollarCam replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel like they will go fishing for a veteran offensive linemen once cut downs occur, however, if Pleasants has another good game this weekend then he might find himself on the active roster. -

I’ll do a few that I suspect will find their way on to the practice squad as everyone has already hit on the others (Shi Smith, Brandon Smith, Xavier Woods,, Amare Barno, Higgins, Mays, etc.) 1. Austen Pleasants 2. Derek Wright 3. Taye Hayes -
Actually saw a video of the incident on Twitter when I woke up this morning. You don’t see any graphic details in the video but you hear five or so gunshots.

2022 Charlotte FC Game Thread

All very good points, I also think there is something going on with Shinyashiki. Almost seems like they’ve given up on re-upping his contract and now he can’t get time on the pitch. Also agree with buying down Jozwiak and Alcivar. I’ve also enjoyed having an MLS team to root for, though I might as well be rooting for two because that’s how bad Man United has been to start the season. Good post. -
I think this is a possibility as well. Tepper has been frugal since he bought the team. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has a serious issue paying a backup QB $20M.

Sam is so wholesome… compete like heck.

I think at this point, if you still have faith in Rhule and his ability to evaluate players then you are a sheep or you just get your jollies off by being a troll. It goes all the way back to Baylor. During Rhule’s first year at Baylor it took him nine weeks to figure out that Charlie Brewer was the best QB on his roster. Anu Solomon (transfer from Arizona) was the day one stater that Rhule trotted out there in Baylor’s loss to Liberty. The second week rolled around and once again, Rhule trotted Solomon out there, Baylor lost to UTSA. By the third week, Solomon had medically withdrawn from Baylor, Rhule trotted out Zach Smith in a loss to Duke. Smith would go on to start week four and five. Brewer finally saw action in week six but he would continue to split in-game reps with Smith until week nine. Brewer finally received all the reps in week nine against Kansas, Brewer led Baylor to their only win that year. In Rhule’s second year, he would continue to split reps, this time between Brewer and Jalan McClendon. In Rhule’s final year at Baylor, he once again started the season by splitting reps at the QB position. Both Charlie Brewer and Gerry Bohanon would split reps for the first few weeks. Brewer eventually won the job and took Baylor to the Big XII Championship. All this to say, it took Rhule three years to finally settle on the guy who was responsible for the one good season that he had in college. Funny enough, Brewer is now trying to become the heir to Malik Willis at Liberty. As for Rhule, the guy simply cannot evaluate talent.

Howell? He had one of the bottom three OL’s in all of college football last year and lost all of his weapons (outside of Josh Downs) to the NFL (Dazz Newsome, Dyami Brown, Michael Carter, and Javonte Williams).

Where else was Baker going to go? Let’s not pretend like Seattle, they obviously aren’t interested in adding a QB. The whole leverage thing was BS coming from the media. Mayfield and the Browns relationship was fractured and the Browns were trying to sell him to us, we said no until the Browns had no choice but to give him away for free. Additionally, how does Corral get up to speed with three reps a day in TC… I’m tired of repeating myself but I regress… Head ball coach Matt Rhule says you only get better with reps. You’re acting like Corral is some sort of mental midget, there’s no reason for four QB’s to be on this roster. I wish Walker and Darnold nothing but the absolute best but this is a damn circus. I hope they go on to have great careers elsewhere but this is Mayfields team and when they aren’t pouring into him they need to be pouring into Corral. If Mayfield goes down then we are fuged anyway and if by that point Corral still isn’t ready then call up one of the 30 other QB’s that are about to be out of a job in a couple of weeks.

Official Panthers at Commies GameDay Thread

Corbett better not get to comfortable. Mays will come in and snatch his job if he’s not careful. Pleasants also might snatch a position up. Just based off of yesterday I’d go. LT - Ekwonu LG - Christensen, Brown C - Bozeman, Tecklenburg RG - Corbett, Mays RT - Moton, Pleasants Would probably want to add a veteran after cut downs and move one of Tecklenburg or Brown to the PS. -
If that’s the case then once again, the organization looks like a poo show, you don’t keep someone around your organization that you constantly have to clean up after.
-
Running an offense and delegating reps and assignments are two different things. It’s called corporate America. The understudy does all the work while the boss tells him what to do and takes credit for his work.
-
Is it even McAdoo’s plan? How do we know it’s not Rhule’s? Rhule seems to be the hands on guy that likes to double check his employees work to make sure they didn’t deviate from the way he likes things done. Like I said in another thread. Walker shouldn’t be blamed for being on the team and going out there and giving his best, I think there’s a place somewhere for him in this league whether it be a QB3 or on a PS. With that said, the coaching staff is butchering the handling of every single one of these QB’s. I can honestly sit here and tell you that if there’s a plan no one can decipher it. That’s why we are having this conversation right now.
-
Do explain cause I’m lost… I thought Corral was the rookie and needed to be brought along slowly… not Baker. Maybe I’m misreading.
-
That proves my point lol… so don’t draft Corral… if the plan all along was to acquire Mayfield then don’t waste a pick on a player that you aren’t going to spend time developing. As I mentioned, the team still has a hole at EDGE, we could have certainly used that third rounder there. If you believe everything you are saying then in reality you are admitting that we either fugged up in the draft or we fugged up in handling the QB situation.
