Rumor or not that was the first account to literally leak the Burns trade in regards to the compensation… literally all the way down to the retention. Also called the Patches trade first (including Coghlan), and no, we were not being linked to him. Then stated that Tkachuk was likely on his way to St. Louis unless Carolina stepped up their offer. Obviously Florida came in at the last second but it was later revealed by insiders that St. Louis and Carolina were the other suitors. Then there was the Necas deal and while Czech media was already reporting it, the term and details weren’t confirmed, the account once again got that right. I want it to be wrong just as much as you do but that account is fairly new and has been leaking everything correctly. It almost seems like some new Canes intern got a hold of Twitter and is leaking everything. As I said, it could be a case where the Canes planted a fake rumor and were trying to weed out someone leaking stuff and that’s why the account didn’t want it posted long. The fact that the original tweet said that they wouldn’t leave the tweet up long only improves the credibility. Basically saying that this happened but I can’t leave it up right now because only a few people even know and it could blow my cover.

Guys are skating and working out so it’s possible, there’s already videos of Patches working out on the ice. So it’s not out of the realm that it’s true. It could be a fake leak to try and out whoever is leaking all the info but who knows… guess we’ll find out soon.

That account posted the returns before anyone, literally replied to one of the insiders tweets with the return before it was even out there. Not saying it’s 100% accurate but it even called the interest in Tkachuk and our rumored info wasn’t even leaked until after.

Was just coming to post that. Lord Stanley has called everything so I’m leaning toward believing that it’s true. If he tore his achilles then the best case scenario is that he’s back by the start of the playoffs. Only option is to LTIR Patches and trade for Kane or sign Kadri (if he’s still available, rumor is he’s headed to NYI). Unfortunately, guys like: Kessel, Rodrigues, and Stastny won’t be enough, even if a couple were signed.

That’s also why I question the point of burning a roster spot on a return guy. If Roberts is a better receiver than Higgins, Zylstra, Smith, Saunders, etc… then by all means keep him. It just seems like a questionable decision to burn a spot on a guy who may get 18 or so returns throughout the entire season.

Are they even using Roberts in the KR game? From what I read a while back (can’t remember where I saw it), it was Smith who was getting a lot of those reps and Roberts was being used in PR drills. Mind you, Roberts is known for being a good KR but Erickson was actually a better PR than Roberts last year.

Let’s wait until he plays a few preseason games before drawing comparisons to HOF’ers. The Panthers are Hayes’ fifth team and he’s yet to break into the league, we might need to pump the breaks a bit.

Tweet just came across from Lord Stanley’s Warehouse… the Twitter account that has been leaking everything we do… Canes are buying out Gardiner and signing Necas to a 2x$3M AAV.

Looks like Haynes is just day to day so that’s good, still think we need more depth at edge though.

Hope I’m wrong, I just feel like our schedule is brutal down the stretch.

Malanda can’t get here fast enough because without Corujo, our CB depth is Walkes, Fuchs, and Sobocinski.

Time will tell but eventually I think Charlotte FC as well as the Panthers will miss out on players who simply don’t want to risk their health playing on turf.

Forgot to mention, the injury is in reference to a knee injury that Corujo suffered in tonight’s game.

Ignore the information about Alcivar, the important stuff is just below… Guzman Corujo’s injury does not look good…

Another thing that needs to mentioned is the selfish play of our side. I mean this is high school stuff… two goals could have been scored tonight if the individual on the ball picked their head up. 1) Gaines decided to take a shot on goal from a tough angle when he could have laid one off to Swiderksi at the penalty area for a sitter. 2) Alcivar decided to take a shot on net (that was deflected for a corner) when he had both Swiderski and Bronico with him; either player would have been in on goal if Alcivar made the pass. I don’t know if these guys are watching film or what, but these scenarios happen nearly every match. I don’t particularly like Swiderski’s body language when things don’t go his way but I’m now starting to understand why he does it. The poor vision and selfishness of the team is starting to cost us points. Hopefully Santos brings over some of that vision from the first tier Portuguese football he’s been playing.

Thank God the EPL is back on because our season is effectively over. Overall, the organization really dropped the ball during the transfer window… our three transfers probably won’t be available for at a minimum of two weeks… by then, we’ll be completely out of the playoff picture and the season probably will have unraveled.

Taking Reyna off was one of the most foolish things that Lattanzio has done during his time as interim manager.

It’s unfortunate, but unless there’s some sort of heroics here at the end, Charlotte will fall to 10th, completely out of the playoff picture.

Rios comes on for Lindsey… so Gaines goes the full 90’…

I think we are at the point that we need to question why the game plan has been to play through Gaines for the past two and a half games. Please bring on Jozwiak for Gaines.
