    I think it would be wise to at least give Gardiner the ability to compete in camp.

    Rumors are that the Canes viewed TDA is a third pairing defenseman who is a PP specialist. Not saying that Joey Keane would come close to replicating TDA’s success but I’d assume he’ll get a chance along with Gardiner to be that third pairing PP specialist. One thing is for certain, the Canes are in need of a 1D. Slavin - ? Skjei - Pesce Gardiner - Chatfield/Keane

    Scottie Lewis broke his leg so that’s another one that we won’t have in summer league… him and Bouknight could have used it.

    How we going to feel when the Hornets don’t pull the QO? Jake Fischer from BR says that he has first hand knowledge that we haven’t pulled the QO yet and we may not.

    I usually agree, but he pulled it from Friedman who is a tad more reliable. Still don’t think they are options.

    So Bridges 7.2 QO has to be rescinded by July 13th, his court date is July 20th. If the offer is pulled then Bridges becomes a UFA. Additionally, any player who is convicted of a violent felony is automatically suspended for a minimum of 10 games.

    For what it’s worth, we’ve played the second most difficult schedule (behind FC Cincinnati) in the Eastern Conference. However, we are going to start getting into the easier part of our schedule very soon. Nashville will be a difficult game but after that we have Inter Miami, Toronto, Columbus, D.C. United, and Chicago. We should be able to pick up some points there.

    LiAngelo has entered the H&S protocol but I suspect he’ll be out by the time the games roll around.

    It also might be time to give Swiderski a break. I though Shinyashiki was solid in his brief time as a center forward yesterday. Reyna - Shinyashiki - Gaines could be an interesting front three.

    I thought Jozwiak was dangerous, his finishing was just poo. I thought all of our wingers and outside mid’s were class yesterday.

    Charlotte FC found something in McNeill, he’ll develop into a solid player in my opinion. It was also great to see Ruiz go the full 90, he looked much better than Ortiz and Alcivar. I’d still like to see more of Hegardt and Vargas.

    Finally!!! Got that first road win and a much needed win in general. Back in Charlotte next Saturday against Nashville.
