  1. Welcome! Me and you both, this off-season feels even more uncertain than last years.
  2. The Hornets need to figure out a way to get rid of Hayward ASAP.
  3. Colorado went all in at the deadline and it worked… Cogliano, Lehkonen, Manson, and Sturm combined for 14 goals, 16 assists, and 30 points in the playoffs. Additionally, former Canes draft pick, Jack Johnson, finally gets his Stanley Cup, and I also see Roland McKeown (former Canes prospect) was on the final roster for the Avs.
  4. The state of our roster looks pretty rough right now… G - LaMelo Ball, G - Terry Rozier, James Bouknight, Bryce McGowens F - Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre, Jalen McDaniels F - P.J. Washington, JT Thor, Kai Jones C - Mason Plumlee, Mark Williams, Nick Richards Free Agents Mile Bridges (RFA), Cody Martin (RFA), Arnoldas Kulboka (RFA), Scottie Lewis (RFA), Montrezl Harrell (UFA), Isaiah Thomas (UFA)
  5. A little late on this one but according to the above tweet, Charlotte FC is interested in both Rodinei (Flamengo) and Rafael Ramos (Corinthians). Both play right back in the Brazilian Serie A. One thing to note with Ramos is that he was arrested back in March for alleged racism. Additionally, I do find it odd that Charlotte FC would be interested in a right back when there seems to be more depth on that side (Afful, Lindsey) than on the left (Mora, Santos). Highlights Below: Rodinei Rafael Ramos
  6. Going to close out everything with one last update. Final Playoff Stats Josh Leivo - 15 goals, 14 assists (Playoff’s MVP - Canes) Stefan Noesen - 9 goals, 16 assists (Canes) Jack Drury - 9 goals, 15 assists (Canes) Andrew Poturalski - 8 goals, 15 assists (Canes) David Gust - 5 goals, 7 assists (Wolves) Joey Keane - 1 goal, 11 assists (Canes) Richard Panik - 6 goals, 5 assists (Islanders - On Loan) C.J. Smith - 3 goals, 6 assists (Canes) Max Lajoie - 4 goals, 4 assists (Canes) Jalen Chatfield - 2 goals, 6 assists (Canes) Jamieson Rees - 2 goals, 4 assists (Canes) Spencer Smallman - 2 goals, 4 assists (Canes) Vasili Ponomarev - 1 goal, 5 assists (Canes) Cavan Fitzgerald - 1 goal, 5 assists (Canes) Ivan Lodnia - 4 goals, 1 assist (Wolves) Stelio Mattheos - 2 goals, 2 assists (Canes) Jesper Sellgren - 3 assists (Canes) Noel Gunler - 1 goal, 1 assist (Canes) Josh Jacobs - 1 goal, 1 assist (Canes) Alex Lyon - 9 wins, 3 losses, 2.03 GAA, .923 SV% (Canes) Pyotr Kochetkov - 5 wins, 1 loss, 1.65 GAA, .950 SV% (Canes) On my final post here, I wanted to notate the affiliate that each contributing player belongs to. Additionally, congratulations to Josh Leivo on being named the Calder Cup Playoff’s MVP. Quite a few of these guys might make their way back to the NHL next year with various teams, quite a few will be right back on the Wolves, and some may find themselves on the Canes next year. Below are the final statistics for the three players that I could see making the jump to the Canes next year. Jack Drury (86GP) - 29 goals, 47 assists, 76 points, +20 Jalen Chatfield (62GP) - 8 goals, 18 assists, 26 points, +24 Joey Keane (80GP) - 8 goals, 37 assists, 45 points, +13
  7. I really think it shows his distaste for the club. He didn’t want to risk injury and being stuck at Charlotte FC any longer.
  8. Hegardt needs more minutes. Looked night and day when he was in the game, really controlled the midfield. Additionally, Swiderski has to score there, he needs to step up or move on.
  9. Looks like the second one is Poturalski from Keane and Drury.
  10. Ah okay, actually appears to be a 4–2-3-1. Easier to tell when they are performing their defensive responsibilities. GK - Marks RB - Lindsey RCB - Corujo LCB - Walkes LB - Mora RCDM - Jones LCDM - Bronico RM - Santos CM - Alcivar LM - Swiderski ST - Rios
  11. Actually with this formation, I’d like to see Afful come in for Santos, Santos just doesn’t provide much right now, a little to young and raw.
  12. So it actually does look like a 4-5-1 GK - Marks RB - Lindsay RCB - Corujo LCB - Walkes LB - Mora RM - Santos RCM - Alcivar CDM - Jones LCM - Bronico LM - Swiderski ST - Rios This would explain why Fuchs isn’t in. Maybe at some point we see Afful or Hegardt but other than that there isn’t any depth tonight. Sisniega and Zendejas are goalies, Fuchs might be able to play a few minutes at LB but for the most part he needs to be primarily a CB due to his lack of speed and Corujo and Walkes have been playing too well to take out, Makoun should not see the field at all with Corujo, Walkes, and Fuchs clearly ahead of him, Afful could spell Lindsey, Hegardt could spell Alcivar, and McNeill is just to raw to put out there.
  13. Interesting, I would have thought they’d have gone with Fuchs if it was a 3-5-2. But I’m open to it as it’ll clog up the midfield.
  14. If I had to guess, based on who is available, maybe a 4-4-2? GK - Marks RB - Lindsey RCB - Corujo LCB - Walkes LB - Mora RM - Santos RCM - Alcivar LCM - Bronico LM - Jones RF - Swiderski LF - Rios Subs - Sisniega, Zendejas, Afful, Fuchs, Makoun, Hegardt, McNeill Covid Protocol - Kahlina, Sobocinski, Bender, Ortiz, Ruiz, Shinyashiki, Gaines, Jozwiak, Vargas, Reyna Injured - Armour, Mello Transfer - Franco All 31 are accounted for, we even got all of our loans back from the Charlotte Independence for this one.
  15. The Wolves have a chance to close it out tonight. The Canes have a chance to become the first team to see their AHL affiliate win back to back Calder Cup championships since 2009-10 when Washington - Hershey did. Updated Playoff Stats Josh Leivo - 14 goals, 14 assists Stefan Noesen - 9 goals, 16 assists Jack Drury - 9 goals, 13 assists Andrew Poturalski - 7 goals, 14 assists David Gust - 4 goals, 7 assists Joey Keane - 1 goal, 10 assists Richard Panik - 6 goals, 4 assists C.J. Smith - 3 goals, 5 assists Jalen Chatfield - 2 goals, 6 assists Max Lajoie - 3 goals, 4 assists Jamieson Rees - 2 goals, 4 assists Vasili Ponomarev - 1 goal, 5 assists Cavan Fitzgerald - 1 goal, 5 assists Ivan Lodnia - 4 goals, 1 assist Spencer Smallman - 2 goals, 3 assists Stelio Mattheos - 2 goals, 2 assists Jesper Sellgren - 3 assists Noel Gunler - 1 goal, 1 assist Josh Jacobs - 1 goal, 1 assist Alex Lyon - 8 wins, 3 losses, 2.21 GAA, .916 SV% Pyotr Kochetkov - 5 wins, 1 loss, 1.65 GAA, .950 SV%
  16. Tomorrow should be interesting, apparently a good amount of our guys are out with Covid.
