  1. Growing into the game quite well in the second half.
  2. Looks like a 3-5-2 now. GK - Kahlina LCB - Fuchs CB - Corujo RCB - Makoun LWB - Armour CDM - Bronico CM - Franco CAM - Bender RWB - Lindsey LF - Swiderski RF - Afful
  3. A couple things here. - Bender is dangerous and going to be a solid player for us. Ditto with Gaines. - We need a lot more from Franco and Bronico, both are standing around in the middle of the field waiting for someone else to make a play. - Khalina is a very good keeper, he does struggle with some of those aerial crosses though. I’d like to see Alcivar and Armour come on and see Bender move to the middle of the field so he gets more touches. GK - Kahlina LB - Armour LCB - Makoun RCB - Corujo RB - Lindsey CDM - Alcivar CM - Franco CAM - Bender LW - Ortiz CF - Swiderski RW - Gaines If we’re still level around the 70th minute then bring Rios on for Lindsey and Walkes on for Franco and switch to a 3 - 4 - 3. GK - Kahlina LCB - Makoun CB - Corujo RCB - Walkes LM - Armour CDM - Alcivar CAM - Ortiz RM - Bender LF - Swiderski CF - Rios RF - Gaines
  4. Kahlina is ridiculously good, I wonder how long he’ll be in the MLS.
  5. Another opportunity to get our first win. Looks to be a 4-3-1-2 or a 4-3-3. Kahlina, Fuchs, Makoun, Corujo, Lindsey, Bender, Franco, Bronico, Ortiz, Swiderski, Gaines
  6. This is the problem with MLS… the MLS pundits, media, and homers think that there is only one way to build an MLS team… that’s also the reason that the MLS will always be a cellar dweller league. I applaud Zoran for trying something different, if Arriola and Machis were on this team then we’d be the talk of the town. The style of play (and not having relegation with the USL) is what’s holding the MLS back. Charlotte will continue to pull numbers because eventually this style of play will pay off. Hell, New England won the Supporters Shield last year and they can’t even pull. We will be fine after a couple of transfer windows.
  7. Excited about this, Jones is a big bodied defensive midfielder that eats up space and turns defense into offense rather quickly. I’d love to see a 4-3-3 with: GK: Khalina LB: Armour LCB: Fuchs RCB: Corujo RB: Lindsey CDM: Jones CM: Franco CAM: Bender LW: Ortiz CF: Swiderski RW: Jozwiak
  8. That .929 save % is looking solid. On the other hand, LaFontaine’s .887 looks horrible.
  9. Only seven more wins and you match last seasons total!
  10. I personally don’t think Tepper is involved in any of the personnel decisions regarding Charlotte FC, he’s treating this franchise much more like a hobby than a business and letting the actual professionals run it. Sure we are struggling out of the gate but a lot of that is out of the teams control. We were closing in on USMNT winger Paul Arriola before we were beat out by FC Dallas. We also had agreed to terms with Darwin Machis who would have been a top five player in the MLS before it was revealed that he was ironing out some legal issues in Europe. If those two deals don’t fall through then this team looks a lot different. I think the fans recognize that the team is truly trying and the support matches that.
  11. We haven’t been bad overall, it’s still a bend but don’t break mentality but as we acquire more talent up top that should change.
  12. Look like it’s a 3-4-3 again. GK - Kahlina, Marks (SUB) LCB - Fuchs, Sobocinski (SUB) CB - Makoun RCB - Corujo LWB - Mora, Armour (SUB) CDM - Bronico, Alcivar (SUB), Hegardt (SUB) CM - Franco, Ruiz (SUB), Bender (SUB) RWB - Lindsey, Afful (SUB) LW - Ortiz CF - Swiderski, Rios (SUB) RW - Reyna, Gaines (SUB)
  13. A third and a sixth would be nice compensation for Anderson. We can find someone in the third who can drop the same amount of balls as Anderson for an eighth of the price. The sixth is so that Rhule can draft whatever LS is available this year.
  14. In reality players are 100% judged and valued on their cap hit and dead cap. If Robby is on the Panthers this year and he doesn’t put up top 10 wide receiver numbers then the FO isn’t going to keep him just because his base salary is $8M. They are going to look at his cap hit and dead cap number and see that he can be cut very easily which in turn provides more value to the team. His value to the Panthers was high when his cap hit was only $8M and he was putting up huge numbers, with that in the past his value begins to diminish as the cap hit gets bigger. Especially considering the numbers he put up last year.
  15. It’s going to be electric tomorrow… it looks like Charlotte will break the MLS attendance record for a single game (currently held by Atlanta United). Assuming most of the purchasing fans show up, it’ll put the attendance on par with a Panthers game.
