Need one of Bouknight or Washington to provide some depth.
-
Good news!
-
Hopefully Nick’s x-ray’s are negative, he’s been playing well.

Looks like Kupchak may have hit on another second round pick in JT Thor.

Going to be interesting to see if the youngins earned extra playing time.

Vinny Trocheck and His Future
MillionDollarCam replied to Anybodyhome's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
I actually think we manage to keep him for around $6M per year. Dundon values offense more than defense. After all, he stated that we’d never draft a defenseman in the first round while he is owner. Not to mention, the Canes value the center position more than any other position as they are constantly drafting centers. I think Trocheck is resigned as he’s the perfect 2C. Additionally, I think the thought was that KK could make Trocheck expendable but that’s obviously not the case. Couple that with the fact that Staal is on his last contract with the Canes, I believe Trocheck is resigned to a $6Mx5 and he makes it in the fourth year of his deal before he is traded. For the next couple of years I project that we stick with Aho/Trocheck/Staal/KK or Drury I could see the future looking like Aho/Jarvis/KK or Rees/Drury -
It’s the pointy elbows for me.

No idea of the validity of these two accounts.

Hey I agree, PJ straight up is all I’d offer. Unfortunately the Pacers are creating a bidding war and someone will do something stupid.
-
It’s not how we evaluate him, it how the Pacers value him. He’s been in the block for forever and never gotten moved. That should tell you all you need to know… it wouldn’t be cheap. Anyone thinking otherwise is delusional.

A rebuilding team is not taking Hayward’s contract. You can’t rebuild when the guy you are trading for has more years on his contract than the guys you are trading out.
-
I’ll say it also hurts not having our first round pick to use… unless everyone will be okay with offering Kai. You’d have think that the Pacers would want Washington and some combination of draft picks. Since we don’t have draft picks they’d be looking at Bouknight (untouchable) and Jones. Would the Hornets be willing to part with Washington, Jones, and Plumlee (salary filler) for Turner and a 2nd round pick? PG - Ball, Smith SG - Rozier, Martin, Bouknight SF - Hayward, Oubre, Lewis PF - Bridges, McDaniels, Thor, Kubolka C - Turner, Richards, Carey That’s quite a bit to give up… but a solid looking roster.
-
I don’t know if we really have anything of interest to the Pacers. They are going to want young players and our team is made up of young (but untouchable players). Contending teams are going to be better equipped to make a run because they can give up young talent.

Hard fought game, just ran out of gas.
-
Wild game.
-
Holy hell this team is fun.
-
Nick Richards was absolute assssssss when he entered the league… JB has turned him into an actual NBA player.
-
I still don’t think there’s a way we pull this out… our current roster on a back to back against a good Sixers team… but the fact we are in the game is awesome.
-
Legs look tired. Really wish Gordon would earn his keep. $29M in cap space for not a whole lot.
-
Have to give JB some props no matter what the outcome of this game is. The team has been developed properly.
-
Damn… the kids can play.
-
Hayward is going to have to earn his paycheck tonight, can’t have him throwing up bricks tonight.
-
So what’s the depth chart lol? G - Martin, Bouknight G - Oubre, Lewis F - Hayward, Kubolka F - Bridges, Thor, Jones C - Richards, Washington, Carey
-
Lololol… so we don’t have a true PG… Expect this to be the first game where Bouknight gets a lot of burn.
-
We’ve gone through four QB’s (Bridgewater, Walker, Darnold, and Newton) in two years… maybe it’s time to address the offensive line before trying a fifth and a sixth QB.
