  1. The Boys are Back and they are looking for Trouble! We’ve got some Canes after Dark tonight so hide your wives, your girlfriends, and your girlfriends’ wives. The Canes 🌪 matchup with the Sharks tonight at the tank. Oh and… The lines are below… Lorentz is the healthy extra, Bear tested positive for Covid-19, and Raanta gets the start… our ol’ pal James Reimer will be manning the net for the Sharks. Keep poun… errrr ummmm #TakeWarning
  2. Great win! The Wizards were always going to make a run, the guys hung in there, took a couple of uppercuts, and got the result. We’re still hanging out in 5th and only one game out of 3rd nearly 25% of the way through the season… keep it up guys!
  3. Holy poo… LaMelo with the hustle then Terry with the dagger.
  4. Damn… LaMelo is that dude. Can’t believe we have him and Cam in the same city.
  5. Bummed that I’m just getting to turn this one on, looks like the guys are playing well.
  6. None in my option, that’s one thing this group has going for them. Both drafts under Tepper, though different GM’s have been stellar. Brown, YGM, Chinn, and Roy are all contributors and Robinson, STO, and Pride (IR) are all still on the roster. As for this past draft, Horn looks elite and Marshall, Christensen, Tremble, Hubbard, Nixon (IR), and Taylor have all contributed and Brown, Smith, Fletcher, and Hoskins all managed to secure roster spots. Couple the drafting with savvy pickup’s like Gonzalez, Abdullah, Reddick, Gilmore, Bouye, Erickson, Luvu, and Henderson (I still think he has potential) and I feel like we should be better than we are. For me it just all comes down to the QB position.
  7. If we turn it around it’s because of Cam… same poo happened with Rivera. Cam Newton, saving coaches jobs since 2011.
  8. It’s not based off one win or one loss, it’s based off the entire mismanagement of the offensive side of the ball. If Cam is on the roster at the beginning of the year there’s no telling where we’d be. I certainly don’t think we lose Philadelphia and New York. I don’t think Rivera should have been retained. It was clear that the team was coaching him more than he was coaching them. I’ll say that I did like Rivera much more as a person than Rhule.
  9. We were a six win team in Rivera’s first year, did you bring this same energy? The offense regressed in Rivera’s second year but the defense improved to the point where they were giving up 4 points less per game (this years defense is giving up 5 points less per game than last year). You are all about improvement but in reality the offense has regressed and the defense is giving away games it shouldn’t… outside of Atlanta there isn’t another easy game on the schedule… Rhule could very well be staring down the barrel at 6-11. It’ll be easier to revisit this thread at the end of the year when we know our final record but this year feels a lot like Rivera’s second year… trying to find silver linings in dogshit. Also, FYI, it’s Belichick not check (not a knock on you, everyone gets this wrong) and he still has the best season in Cleveland over the past 30 years, it’s telling that no one can turn that franchise around, some teams are destined to fail. I was not aware of Coach K’s first few years, thanks for the insight.
  10. Good Lord man… he’s getting paid $56M to be an NFL head coach and you want to hold his hand… First it’s… well little Matty is improving, now it’s little Matty didn’t come into the best situation… anything else? If you walked into an actual job with all these excuses your ass would be fired before you could think of another excuse.
  11. No one wants to answer because the question is foolish. There was bound to be improvement because the team was poo last year… the defense has improved leaps and bounds but when you lose a game you HAVE to win because of the particular unit that is said to have improved then people get pissed. Not to mention, there better be improvement, they spent a whole fugging draft on defense just for it to lose the game for them yesterday. And let’s not even talk about the offense which is worse than it was last year until Cam rescued this coaching staff. Cam might literally have saved your boys job if yesterday turns out to just be a fluke performance by the defense. Bottom line is on-field improvement isn’t worth a damn when you aren’t winning. The Browns have been “improving” for 30 years just to get brought back down to earth the following year. Hell, Rivera “improved” in his second year, he went from 6-10 to 7-9… improvement! Coaches are measured in wins and losses, that’s why they are hired to be fired unless they are in the 1% (Belichick, Coach K, Roy Williams, Greg Pop, etc.).
  12. In my opinion that makes it even look worse for Rhule. He hand picked his guy twice, got it wrong, and came crawling back to Rivera’s guy.
  13. The brand can be summed up as “below average”. Rivera’s (9-18) and Rhule’s (10-17) records are nearly identical through 27 games. Couple that with the fact that Rivera won his last four games of his second season and it’s easy to see that Rhule could very well have a worse record than Rivera two years into their coaching careers. Congrats to Rhule and Rivera for “building the roster”, but while we take three to five years to build a team that has to be torn down following one Super Bowl visit, the Patriots are headed back to the playoffs after a one year hiatus with Mac fugging Jones.
  14. Don’t reason with a fool. Most of the people defending Rhule were ready to fire Rivera after his first year and a half when both coaches have nearly identical records after their first 27 games… Rivera: 9-18 Rhule: 10-17
  15. There’s no documented backlash because college players aren’t interviewed as much as NFL players are and at that point why even speak on someone who is no longer a part of your program? A college player speaking out on a former coach isn’t a good look. Not to mention, the players that are being interviewed are seniors or team captains who are on their way out, not the players that were just recruited and now feel betrayed by a coach who said he wasn’t leaving. And no… the decision didn’t effect Reddick. Reddick graduated in 2016, Matt Rhule became the head coach of Baylor in 2017. So in essence, Reddick had $13.5M reasons why he wouldn’t care about Rhule leaving. Matt Rhule could be a fine person for all we know. Maybe he treats people differently and says things to his players differently behind closed doors. Unfortunately for him, all we have to go off of is what he says in the press and to this point none of it has been truthful.
  16. And McKissic murdered us… Rivera might have just learned something from his mistakes. Then when he put Gibson back in he ran like a man possessed. Not sure if Rivera would have made a change like that while he was here but at least he seems to be learning.
  17. Glad you were able to experience that and more importantly, glad that you were able to get help for the things that you are battling. Anxiety, depression, and mental instability are real. It takes a strong man or women to get help and I feel horrible for those that have to go through these types of things alone. Happy you got to enjoy your day! Keep Pounding!!!
  18. People act like bringing up Belichick’s history in Cleveland is damaging… Since 1991 (yes, three decades ago), the Browns best season occurred when he was the head coach (1994).
  19. Me knowing that I get to watch a well-run organization from top to bottom tonight.
  20. It’s not about being honest with the fanbase, we won’t win him football games. It’s about being honest with players… I posted this in another thread but this is what Rhule said when asked about the possibility that he might leave Temple. “This is hard man,” Rhule said back in 2015, via a CBS News affiliate in Philadelphia. “This is really, really hard. People start coming to your door and say hey, ‘I got four million dollars.’ But you know what, I’d rather coach Temple’s kids. I love these kids. I’d rather coach here and coach Temple’s kids then just sell my soul for four million dollars. That is the truth and that’s as honest and open as I can be with you guys.” … That’s as honest as you can be? Hell, Hugh Freeze was more honest when asked about the opportunity to leave Liberty to go back to the SEC stating that he loved Liberty but there were a few jobs he’d consider… A guy that most believe is one of the sleaziest coaches in college football managed to answer the question more truthfully than Rhule… Unfortunately that’s not all… you have this lovely text that he sent to his Baylor players AFTER he had already decided to leave. If we need to go even further we can talk about “how excited” he was to work with Cam before kicking him to the curb. He doesn’t have to be honest with us but be honest to your team.
  21. Solid troll 8/10… if he dabbed it would have been a 10/10.
  22. The worst part is that our coaching staff just sat back and watched the train wreck up close.
