This team just keeps finding a way to win. I thought KK looked solid tonight. His skating seems to be better and though he didn’t have a point, he was a net front presence on two goals. Once that line with him, Trocheck, and Necas starts clicking… lookout. Let’s do it again tomorrow!

Once again…. same lineup for Boston.

If he keeps this up then you pay him and figure the rest out later. While it’s only 5 games in, he’s on pace for a 50-40-90 season. Bridges and Martin are the only FA’s we have (RFA’s) and with a projected $26M in cap space next season we should be able to find a way to keep both if we really wanted. I suspect this years team will look pretty similar to next years.

At least it wasn’t the Barkley guarantee.

Sometimes you have to squeak out an ugly one. On a separate note, this team has some depth. 4-1 without our leading scorer from last year… When healthy our rotation turns into: G - LaMelo Ball, Ish Smith G - Terry Rozier, Cody Martin, James Bouknight F - Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre, JT Thor F - Miles Bridges, Jalen McDaniels, Kai Jones C - Mason Plumlee, P.J. Washington, Nick Richards, Vernon Carey Jr. Very solid group.

Our staff deserves a lot of credit with developing our own talent. A second round pick and undrafted free agent are leading our bench with a combined 28 points.

Eh his game was always more of a pro style. Lots of iso play and just run and gun with no defense.

This right here is the issue. If we’re not going to play defense then at least run them off the three point line. If we would have ran them off the line on just half of their made three’s and traded a three for a two then our lead would be 8 rather than three.

Getting a little bit from everyone tonight, if we can tighten up on the defensive end then we’ll be fine.

Magic are going with Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter, and Mo Bamba. There bench consists of Terrence Ross, R.J. Hampton, Moritz Wagner, Robin Lopez, and Ignas Brazdeikis.

And according to JB, it’ll be Nick Richards. If you wondering who he could find himself matched up against… Robert Williams or Enes Kanter… Al Horford is out tonight (along with Romeo Langford).

This is going to be interesting. I assume the starting lineup is going to be: PG - LaMelo Ball SG - Gordon Hayward SF - Kelly Oubre PF - Miles Bridges C - Mason Plumlee Obviously Ish Smith will backup LaMelo, Cody Martin will rotate in for Hayward and Oubre, Jalen McDaniels will come in for Bridges… but who is going to backup Plumlee? Richards, Kai, or Vern?

Hornets and Hurricanes have been well built by good GM’s (Kupchak and Waddell) and they are well coached (Borrego and Brind’Amour). Not to mention they’ve developed their own talent and they’ve cut ties with players when needed (Kemba and Dougie). Unfortunately for the Panthers they are really lacking on the coaching and player development.
