  1. Svechnikov is going to put up a lotttt of points this year.
  2. - Andersen gets the start. - First look at Seeley, Lagesson, and Tieksola - Burns making his Canes debut - Kase getting a look at LW on Staal’s line - Stromwall and Drury getting a look together.
  3. Lineup for tomorrows game: If I had to guess… Turbo - Aho - Jarvis Svech - KK - Necas Stromwall - Staal - Fast Tieksola - Drury - Kase Slavin - Burns de Haan - Bear Seeley - Lagesson Kochetkov Andersen The only players yet to play are Suzuki, who I believe is injured, and Mattheos. As for cutdowns: Chicago: Pashin, LaBate, Murray, Farrance Juniors: Orr, Robidas, Montgomery, Vondras, Hamrla The other players are: Paccioretty, who will be back around the all-star break, Gardiner, who will be going on LTIR, and Fitzgerald, who was removed from the training camp roster due to injury, he will be headed to Chicago.
  4. The game at Tampa has officially been canceled. Updated preseason schedule below: Game 1: Canes 5 - Lightning 1 Game 2: Canes 5 - Panthers 2 Game 3: Canes vs. Panthers (Saturday - 1PM) Game 4: Canes vs. Blue Jackets (Monday - 7PM) Game 5: Canes @ Sabres (Tuesday - 7PM) Notes - Saturday’s game is free to the public to my knowledge, if you live the RDU area you can treat yourself to some no cost hockey tomorrow and use that extra money for the $7.50 Storm Brews. For those that don’t live in the area, like myself, the game will be streamed on the Canes website. - Monday’s game is not free and will be streamed on the Canes website. - Tuesday’s game will be on NHL Network. - After Tuesday’s game, the Canes will have a week off before opening up the regular season at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday, October 12th, at 7:00PM.
  5. He had one of the better in game dunks that I’ve seen from a Hornets player throughout the teams history. His dunk over Aldridge was wild for a big guy.
  6. Six more headed out. Forwards: Pashin, LaBate, and Murray (did not play) are headed to Chicago; Robidas is headed to juniors. Defensemen: Farrance (did not play) is headed to Chicago. Goalie: Hamrla (did not play) is headed to juniors. I really liked what I saw from Robidas, I think we’ll see him in the league in a couple of years.
  7. One in central Florida was just from an elderly individual draining his pool into a canal during the storm. He slipped and fell down the bank and drowned.
  8. Actually noticed that last night as well, there was a sequence where Chatfield was exiting the d-zone last night and he was moving. On multiple circumstances I watched Bear and he looked stuck in mud.
  9. We’re up to 21 right now, most in southwest Florida, a couple in central Florida. It’s going to take some time to sort through all the mess down here but I wouldn’t be shocked if we got to the 80-100 range.
  10. I’m willing to give Bear a few more preseason games but as of right now I’m 100% in the camp of trading him before the season starts. Coghlan is obviously much better and I prefer Chatfield over Bear as well. I’m all for shipping him somewhere four a third or fourth round pick and being done with it. Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce de Haan - Coghlan Chatfield Depth - Dronov, Lajoie
  11. Canes win 5-2 Goal 1 - Noesen (from Dzingel & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (Unassisted) Goal 3 - Robidas (from LaBate & Rees) Goal 4 - Ponomarev (from Lajoie & Chatfield) Goal 5 - Drury (from de Haan & Martinook) 13 of the 18 skaters recorded a point and Raanta looked really sharp. Sawchenko was also solid though his movements are a little all over the place at times, nonetheless, he’ll make a good tandem with Kochetkov in Chicago.
  12. End of 2… Canes 4 - Cats 1 Goal 1 - Noesen (from Dzingel & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (Unassisted) Goal 3 - Robidas (from LaBate & Rees) Goal 4 - Ponomarev (from Lajoie & Chatfield) Raanta also looks really good. If it wasn’t already obvious, the Canes are deep. Four goals and not one player has a multipoint game.
  13. Canes 4 - Cats 1 Goal 1 - Noesen (from Dzingel & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (Unassisted) Goal 3 - Robidas (from LaBate & Rees) Goal 4 - Ponomarev (from Lajoie & Chatfield)
  14. Now 3-1 Canes 3 - Cats 1 Goal 1 - Noesen (from Dzingel & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (Unassisted) Goal 3 - Robidas (from LaBate & Rees)
  15. More scoring changes, just a clusterfug of a production tonight. Canes 2 - Cats 0 Goal 1 - Noesen (from Dzingel & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (Unassisted)
  16. In reality they won’t have it working until Sunday so you might be right.
  17. Looks like they changed the first goal. Canes 2 - Cats 0 Goal 1 - Dzingel (from Noesen & Coghlan) Goal 2 - Stepan (from de Haan)
