He’s been with the Swarm, this will be his first year actually going through training camp with the Hornets. I believe they signed him last year and then immediate cut him and put him in the G-League.

Really interested in seeing Stromwall tonight. He had a great year in the K last season. Also interested in 2C KK.

It doesn’t matter where they had him to start bud… Chinn was a linebacker his rookie year… where is he now. Elflein was moved to center by Rhule. The fact that Erving is on the bench is a product the Panthers drafting a LT at #6… it has nothing to do with Campen. Rhule played BC at LT multiple games down the stretch and his best games were graded out at LT. Every incoming roster player had to compete, not just Bozeman… were you absent during preseason or did you just miss Darnold and Mayfield splitting reps? I’m not giving Rhule any credit because in reality the OL has not improved at the center position. As you stated before, BC and Corbett make Elflein look better than he is. So why is there a center on the bench who graded out in the top 15? Campen? You think he’s some sort of OL wizard that knows for a fact that Elflein is better than Bozeman? Nah… Rhule has Elflein at center again just like he did last year. Serious question, do you follow the team or the coaching staff?

Figured as much, you’d rather discuss my personal life rather than the premise. So tell me, who put Elflein at center last year? Campen? All the way from Houston? The offensive line looks the same outside of Corbett (who has no competition) and Ekwonu, who was obviously going to start at LT. The only thing you’ve remotely said that is true is that Elflein improved because of BC and Corbett… that’s backed up by the fact that he played poorly at center last year. This year, there just happens to be a better option stuck to the bench because Rhule is going with his guy from last year. I mean for fug’s sake… don’t stop with Elflein… who has Chinn playing safety? Rhule or Wilks?

One of us at the very least worked for a college football team and one of the coaches on that staff is now with the Panthers… furthermore many of the coaches on that staff had NFL playing or coaching experience… not one of them was ever given control over personnel decisions… while that wasn’t the NFL by any stretch… I’d take my experience over your opinion any day. It has always been a formality that head coaches have the ultimate control over the roster and they dictate who starts… while else would you even need a head coach? I mean congratulations, you listed one position coach in the entire history of the NFL that may or may not have had control over their positional group. I could not verify it, so please feel free to send me a link. In the meantime, maybe you should look up an NFL head coach’s responsibilities, roster and personnel decisions will be at the top of the list. Nice back peddle, no where did I say that Campen didn’t have input. I explicitly stated he did. But Rhule makes the ultimate call… that’s why in his press conference, he didn’t say, let me get with Campen and discuss… no, he flat out said who the starters were and who he’s been impressed with (Erving)… jog my memory, who are the current starters? Also, did Erving make the team? Sure seems like HC Matt Rhule doesn’t have to defer to anyone. Hell, this article (https://www.nfl.com/_amp/panthers-owner-david-tepper-expected-to-be-patient-with-head-coach-matt-rhule-as) was just posted a couple of days ago and reiterates the fact that Rhule was given full control over the roster… you think that Rhule has full control over the roster yet he doesn’t pick who starts? Get a grip.

That’s assume that Campen is making the decisions… when in reality… history tells us that position coaches don’t set the starting lineup. You’re opinion isn’t based on anything at all as where mine is coming from 1) the head coach giving an interview a month ago and telling us what the starting lineup would be while also praising Cam Erving (maybe go look that interview up) and 2) the widely accepted fact that head coaches set their lineups. Campen isn’t even the associate head coach like he was in Cleveland, just the OL coach.

Did you formulate your opinion on some sort of facts? It would be unheard of for a positional coach to have full control over who starts in his position group. In August, Matt Rhule did a press conference where he outlined the starters, do you think he was just regurgitating what Campen told him? The more likely scenario is that Campen has input but the ultimate decision is up to Rhule and Rhule has decided to go with Elflein. Meanwhile, Bozeman, who graded out as one of the top 15 centers in the league last year, is sitting on the bench. So by your argument, the argument that stated that Christensen and Corbett make Elflein look better than he actually is… Bozeman would also look better playing beside Christensen and Corbett… one again, using your argument… the Panthers could potentially have a top 10 center sitting on the bench… and I’ll tell you right now… it’s isn’t because of Campen.

Don’t be surprised if Williams rides the pine this year, sounds like Clifford absolutely loves Nick Richards, already stated that he’s the backup center.
