  1. Would have kept him and moved him to guard since he spent some time there in Baltimore. Not starter material but the cap savings you get from cutting him is meaningless. But who knows, Bozeman could have asked to be cut rather than being a backup.
  2. Three weeks means he wouldn’t be back until April… he’d only get seven regular season games before the playoffs. If that’s really the case then we better win the Cup. Acquiring Guentzel for a handful of regular season games and a second round exit would be a disaster.
  3. After a few more thoughts. I actually think I’d go: Guentzel - Aho - Necas Svechnikov - Kuznetsov - Teravainen Martinook - Staal - Jarvis Noesen - Drury - Fast Kotkaniemi Lemieux Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce Orlov - Chatfield DeAngelo Andersen Kochetkov Martin Raanta (Wolves)
  4. No other forwards interest me now outside of Buchnevich. If we go defense, I like Carrier.
  5. Think he stays with the Blues, he has one year left on his deal so it’s not like he has to be traded. He’s not a distressed asset like Kuznetsov.
  6. Buchnevich just sitting there… send him to Moscow… erm, I mean Raleigh.
  7. Between his drug habit and his mental health, not sure if he’s able to really focus and put forth the effort. Hope is that Rod and familiarity with other Russians like his buddy Orlov will rejuvenate him.
  8. NHL going to step in and kill the deal because they don’t want their audience to see a live murder when Rod loses it with ol’ booger sugar mcski slopes for not back checking.
  9. fug it, go get Buchnevich. Svechnikov - Kuznetsov - Buchnevich
  10. Yeah actually, move Jarvis to Kuzy’s wing. Necas and Kuzy would be a disaster.
  11. With Kuzy in play, I’d go: Guentzel - Aho - Teravainen Svechnikov - Kuznetsov - Necas Martinook - Staal - Jarvis Noesen - Drury - Fast Kotkaniemi Lemieux Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce Orlov - Chatfield DeAngelo Andersen Kochetkov Martin Raanta
  12. 15 points in 26 games, not too bad. Known playoff performer, should be cheap. Same thing with Eberle, though he might be more expensive.
  13. Would like: Buchnevich, Vatrano, Toffoli, Eberle, Granlund (only decent center left) Would take: Pacioretty
  14. Yeah I don’t even get that, they could have left him out.
  15. Hopefully TDA clears because right now we have no defensive depth. Coghlan and Smith are next men up.
  16. Decent trade. Wish Koivunen wasn’t included, I think he’ll be a 3C in the NHL. At least the picks are contingent on us making/winning the cup. In my mind I’m looking at it like: Carolina Receives: Jake Guentzel (1/2LW - hopefully re-signs), Ty Smith (defensive depth for the playoffs) Pittsburgh Receives: Michael Bunting (3LW), Ville Koivunen (3C), Vasily Ponomarev (4C), Cruz Lucius (AHL/Fringe 4th Liner), first or second round pick, possibly a 5th round pick.
  17. Elite players though, we have Aho and that’s it. I’m fine with selling off good prospects to get us over the hump, I personally don’t think Guentzel does but I hope I’m wrong. I don’t see a team with Jack Drury as their 2C winning the Cup. I truly think this team needs another elite center. Petterson would have got us there.
  18. Yeah Servalli seems more careful with his words and has only spoken in absolutes when sure this time. He said a trade call is being set up now.
  19. The goal is to keep the window open so you don’t end up like Pittsburgh and Washington. That’s why you hold on to prospects and only trade good one’s for players with term.
  20. Highly doubt he’d be in it since he wasn’t even available for Petterson.
  21. Lots of people contradicting themselves. Servalli has come out and said that the deal includes a conditional pick that can become a first, multiple prospects, and Bunting. Morrow NOT part of the deal.
  22. WOW… Pagnotta said Morrow was in the deal… Servalli is saying he is NOT.
