TLDR... 1 dime is better than 2 nickels. -

Obviously, all "stacked" comments need to come with the disclaimer "compared to last year". I said elsewhere that when your coming from historically shitty... average looks really, really good! All 3 of those positions are light years ahead of the 2024 season! And that's good enough for me...for now. -

I officially nominate "Thomas the Turd waffle". All in favor... -
XL makes a list of sophomore breakout candidates

Yeah, I think Renfro and Moore are fighting for that 6th spot unless Horn struggles in camp. The loser goes to waivers. Really hard to know what Renfro brings to the table at this point other than a cool story and a guaranteed skyrizzi sponsorship. -
FWIW, I saw an interview where he said Nalo or TMac were both fine, just not T-Mac. no hyphen. Also, his mama hates "Tet".

The Athletic's "Undrafted Player to Watch"

Yeah, I was more or less just wondering aloud. Maybe we can put him on that Nic Scourton diet. -

I really had high hope that Bozeman would be that answer. Solid player and all-around good guy. Still looking... -
This was also a weird draft because unless you were in the top 5, you weren't landing a blue-chip player. I think Dan handled it beautifully... got Tmac, the consensus best WR in the draft, 2 all SEC DE/OLB's, a solid SS, TE depth, RB depth, WR depth, NT depth (all positions of need). Hard to give it an A, IMO, because no 1 player wows me, but unless Carter dropped, no one was going to.

With Zavala and Mays' improvement last season, It'll be exciting to see how this guy adjusts to the NFL with our o-line coaches. With Mays and Corbett on 1 year contacts, we may be looking at him at center. -

I read somewhere (couldn't find the article again) that he wanted to play at A&M since he was a kid, hometown tea. Plus he wanted to play in the SEC. -
D. Morgan on T-Mac: “I made the decision pretty early [January]
shaqattaq replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
OK, so we knew all along that TMac was our pick. 1. Fantastic job hiding it! Don't play poker with DMo. 2. Theilen's pay bump in March makes more sense now. A savvy vet to mentor Tmac, Horn,(rookies) XL (1 yr NFL & basically 1 yr college experience), and Coker (limited playtime last season). -

BREAKING: Panthers claim CB M.J. Devonshire off Waiver Wire
shaqattaq replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Was projected to go i the 5th. 6'6" wingspan, a lot of starting experience at Pitt, solid return guy, not too shabby. With the status of our CB room, he has as good a shot as any to creep onto the team. His biggest issue was likely getting drafted by the raiders, bless his heart. -
We get D Brown back, which is HUGE, and Moehrig is a really good pick up. BB3, Wharton, and Jones are, IMO, solid pick-ups but not elite, which is fine... most aren't elite. All good, however we will be relying on 3 rookies as either starters or getting significant play time. There will be growing pains. Also, after Horn and Jackson, our CB room is cringe-worthy. We made A LOT of progress, for sure, but we're not there yet. Should be good enough to keep us in games though because our offense is loaded if Bryce continues his upward trajectory from last season.
