  1. Doesn't matter. New policy wasn't in place when the offense was committed. You can't be punished retroactively for a policy put in place after you committed the offense.
  2. It won't be 10 games btw. NFLPA will knock it down to 2-6
  3. But this streak of fiscal responsibility has some fingerprints on it, and those who know the Cowboys say those identifying marks belong largely to Jones' son Stephen. Outside of Dallas and NFL circles, not a lot is known about the man, other than he's the offspring of arguably the league's wildest owner, and carries a business card that lists a one-man corporation: "Stephen Jones: Dallas Cowboys Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President/Director of Player Personnel." http://sports.yahoo.com/news/letting-demarco-murray-walk-signals-that-someone-other-than-jerry-jones-is-calling-big-shots-for-cowboys-035337598.html?soc_src=mail&soc_trk=ma If you think Jerry is still calling the shots in Dallas you don't know anything about the Cowboys.
  4. And both exercised control over decisions that should have been left to the GM.
  5. Jerry Richardson or Jerry Jones? I can't tell the difference
  6. Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview So this one’s a bit fluid. Could flush out by end of the day, but again — Ball isn’t OFFICIALLY a Panther.
  7. Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview Still trying to confirm @RavensInsider report about Alan Ball. FWIW, he was rated No. 10 in coverage by @PFF during last healthy yr in ’13.
  8. "It made me feel like a kid in the candy store. Just the vibe, the family feel." https://twitter.com/Kroeger/status/576428955756064768 Hmm. Where have I heard that before?
  9. The guaranteed money makes it basically a 3 year deal though, with team option years 4-6.
  10. Many people asked me how the Saints can be over the cap and sign Ingram, but the cap isnt a concern until March 10 at 4PM. By then the Saints will have restructured a number of contracts to be under the cap. Bringing back Ingram was likely a sign that there was lukewarm interest in Ingram at a high price outside of New Orleans so it made sense to come back to the place where he began his career. I would not be shocked if the first year payout and guarantee match the $5.2M or so salary he would have earned if the Saints picked up the option year on him last year. This contract should be a sign that the Marshawn Lynch deal has no bearing on the market and that prices will remain unchanged from last season. http://overthecap.com/quick-thoughts-first-wave-signings/
  11. NFL Network @nflnetwork "It's one of the best running back classes I've seen in recent history." - Mike Mayock on the 2015 RB class Gurley here we come
  12. Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview Oops, that was Green-Beckham earlier. Not the other way around.
  13. Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview Tempting. That’s the word I’d use for Beckham-Green. But will be REALLY hard for #Panthers to sell themselves on him after Hardy stuff.
  14. Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview Not sure. What's sure -- he's passes the eye test. RT @valentinolivry: @BlackBlueReview Think panthers would consider him at 25? THE PLOT THICKENS
  15. “League executives don’t operate under the same burden of proof as the court system. They have the previous guilty verdict, they have Holder’s testimony and they have the prosecution’s claim of a civil settlement between Hardy and Holder. That’s enough for them to act, and they surely will. And as we saw with Adrian Peterson, the league won’t consider Hardy’s paid leave last year to be a form of punishment.” Panthers' Greg Hardy unlikely to escape NFL's punishment
