  1. That last part is the hard thing. Potentially easier if there's someone to do it for them.
  2. Confirmed... Archer is as solid a source for Cowboys information as you'll find.
  3. So I suggested elsewhere that rather than be GM, Morgan could be a good person for the role Joe Person has talked about, i.e. an ego handler and a go-between for Tepper and team personnel. I'm probably more comfortable with that idea.
  4. Is this being asked in a Clint Eastwood voice?
  5. The head coaching requests I can get on board with. The GM ones? Not so much.
  6. Basically Tepper is set to try once again to show he can find a better way to do things. Meanwhile the team's doing things the traditional way will be busy winning championships
  7. Tepper wanted to go with an analytics guy last time we had a GM search. Matt Rhule convinced him that he needed a roster builder instead. Sounds like Tepper may actually get his wish this time. Sh-t
  8. Both are cap administrator types, not talent evaluators. Edit/Friendly [mod]ification...pulling the full list to the front: HC Tracker: https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-coaching-search-update-2024 DC Ejiro Evero STC Chris Tabor Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris GM Tracker: https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-general-manager-search-update-2024 Detroit Lions chief operating officer Mike Disner Panthers assistant GM Dan Morgan Cowboys VP of player personnel Will McClay Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown Chiefs VP of football operations Brandt Tilis Eagles assistant GM Alex Halaby Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg Ravens VP of football administration Nick Matteo Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds Raiders interim GM Champ Kelly Saints assistant GM Khai Harley
  9. Possible. Breer said he thinks Blank is ready to take a "big swing" with his next hire.
  10. Lotta smoke around Belichick and the Falcons.
  11. No one's fault equals everyone's fault. Or more to the point, everybody in charge means nobody's in charge. Fitterer came in as a consensus builder, which is likely what helped him get the job in the first place because that's how Tepper wanted to operate. But the reality is you can't run a football team by committee. They needed one person with a guiding vision in charge, and Fitterer was trying to please everyone. Top that off by hiring a head coach with basically the same MO and here we are.
  12. Not as many as I'd have expected so far
