I'm thinking Trainwreck, who himself was another iteration of one of our recidivist dumbasses but I never heard which one. His takes are similarly ignorant.

Well, damn! I didn't know Grier's bro was a celebrity

I am an old man, and I don't really give a sh-t about celebrities in general, but internet celebrities even less so. -

Social media personalities don't count as "celebrities". -
Two or Three QBs, what difference does it make?

I'm pretty sure this is just the latest ID of one of our resident dumbsh-ts (maybe Trainwreck) -
From Gantt's latest... Recently extended right tackle Taylor Moton has taken a decent amount of work on the left side, as they consider him moving away from his comfortable spot.

And here I was told Teddy was gonna put up MVP numbers and win a Super Bowl this year. You mean it was bullsh-t?

The problem with fans is that too many of them think football teams are engaging in 007 level espionage and every statement is actually some double blind bluff that needs to be analyzed to get the true meaning. As often as not, it's nowhere near that complicated. Once a draft pick is made or a transaction is completed, there's generally little to no reason to lie about it or keep secrets. But fans see someone with a different take than them and automatically think there has to be some weird spin on it. Well maybe, or maybe you were just...you know, wrong. And so what? Hell, I have a lot more respect for someone just saying "guess I was wrong" than someone trying to create an algebraic equation to prove they were really technically right. Ditto the whole "Oh yeah, that dumb sh-t I said before? I was just joking" excuse.

As to Minshew, I'm not that certain the Jags part ways with him. It's definitely possible, but I don't think it's guaranteed.

Saw the Colts signed Brett Hundley. I wasn't a big fan, so...

Been hearing positive things about Kirkwood too.

Solid take. Our resident insider Roaring Riot did confirm that Hurney pushed hard for Bridgewater. Marty needed to win now to save his ass and he believed Teddy was a path to that. Went about as well as so many of his other moves.

Yes, I'm sure they're all lying just to try and fool you. You really are that important

People are free to parade all the hot takes they want, and I'm equally free to call them out as incredibly stupid. The particularly dimwitted one in this case is the notion that not drafting Fields was a face saving move. The team spent plenty of time inbetween the Darnold trade and the draft telling anyone who'd listen that having Darnold didn't preclude them from taking a quarterback. Yet we're to believe that same team isn't going to take one because it'd be embarrassing? I've seen more ignorant takes I suppose, but probably not many. They didn't draft him because they didn't want to. It's not that difficult. Will it turn out to be the right decision? Don't know, but trying to attribute some goofy fan logic to it rather than just taking it at face value rather than just admitting you were wrong just looks even dumber.

Saw this from The 4 Man Rush in his Day 3 Observations RT Taylor Moton split his reps evenly at LT and RT during this session. When he is at RT, Cam Irving plays LT. When he is at LT, Brady Christensen plays at RT The "session" in this case being 11 on 11 drills... Haven't seen anyone else report that his snaps were split evenly, but that's pretty interesting if true. Person had described the Moton to left tackle talk as "heating up" in the last day or two. When it comes time for preseason games, I'm wondering if Moton will be taking the second team left tackle snaps.

The idea that stuff coming from actual sources vs fan speculation is "revisionist" has to be one of the stupidest things I've seen on here Stafford never said he wasn't interested in coming here. There was talk that he preferred the west coast but no confirmation he'd have sunk a deal elsewhere. What actually kept us from getting him was the Rams making a better offer. And again, the "all in on Watson" thing never rose above the level of rumor. It wasn't "released" anonymously or otherwise.

Yeah, shoulder I think. I wasn't following, but I'm rather closely connected to someone who is

This wasn't you? Sam is just a lotto ticket to get them through the 2021 season IMO. Not much more. Everyone in that FO knows we need a future QB and you don't stop looking because you were forced into going the Darnold route this season. ... they brought him in for a year to kick the tires. see what is there. we got nothing else going on. I'm cool with that. this narrative we are all in on Darnold as anything more than the above, should draft around Sam being our QB, etc is what I ain't buying. ... I'm saying this franchise is actively looking for their future franchise QB. That Sam is a one year lotto ticket. They are going to scratch the ticket and see what it is. And I agreed with kicking Sam's tires. Why not Albert Breer has us taking Fields, believes Tepper is pushing for it You had these and other takes in that thread...pretty much all of them wrong.

Gotta feeling that's a wrap on Stidham...

Tepper doesn't make football decisions. Nor should he. And given that the GM was fired and replaced this past offseason, it's actually not the same front office. -
You insisted Darnold was only insurance and we'd take Fields if he fell to us. He did. We didn't.
-
I could see it.

Listening to a fan who doesn't have access over insiders who do doesn't exactly strike me as "logic". I get that you want to be taken seriously and thought of as smart, but this isn't a good path to that.

See, here's a good chance to illustrate that "fact vs opinion" thing... What we were willing to offer for Stafford was our first round pick plus a later round pick. Whether or not that constitutes "giving up the farm" is a matter of opinion but I think most folks would probably say "no". Shortly after that , we called the Jets about Darnold. Their response was that they weren't deciding anything until they'd had a chance to evaluate all the available prospects but they'd keep in touch if they went that direction. As to Watson, that never rose above the level of speculation and rumor. The only thing of any substance that was ever reported was that we were interested in general, but since the Texans weren't listening to offers we weren't pursuing anything. You see, when you read the actual reports, you don't have to dream up scenarios.
-
Pretty good today, at least (from what I've read).

Actually it's an opinion, but not knowing the difference between facts and opinions is kind of a common theme here.
