  1. I got told to "walk and talk" a couple of times
  2. It's actually not, but just for clarity Rivera was going to be fired in 2012. The only reason he wasn't is that Marty Hurney offered to fall on the sword for him. So if that's "how things work", does that mean you think Rivera was being fired for having a sh-tty QB?
  3. Yep. Can't really hold that against them.
  4. Stuff always gets leaked before the official release.
  5. Heck, the last time I was there, JC was still alive and pushing the line at The Beacon.
  6. When I was about 9 or 10, my best friend's family took a trip to watch a Cincinnati Reds series and took me along. Amazing lineup that year. They had Tony Perez, Joe Morgan, Dave Concepcion and Pete Rose manning the infield, Johnny Bench catching, Cesar Geronimo and Griffey Sr in the outfield. Got to see Tom Seaver pitch too. Pretty sure they won the series that year. I was too young to truly appreciate just how good a team I was watching.
  7. I tried (really hard) to get into soccer back when the US was in the World Cup semifinals or whatever years back. I just couldn't do it. Baseball? Might take a while to get my feet wet again.
  8. Haven't been to The Beacon in a long time.
  9. Looks like it... I know a lot of folks aren't big fans of the playing surface down there, and even less are fans of the heat.
  10. Panther memorabilia with Tepper on it would actually be kind of cringeworthy. Pretty sure nobody owns any Raven stuff with pictures of Steve Bisciotti on it.
  11. Nope. Don't even have his image as the wallpaper on my phone. Am I not allowed in the meetings anymore?
  12. You told me he was in the room next to you! I'm starting to think you might not have been telling the truth
  13. You think Matt Rhule saying "Dave leaves the football stuff to me and Scott" is taken out of context?
  14. If I'm being completely honest, neither do I. Haven't really been much of a baseball fan since I was a kid playing Little League. But I figure there are a fair number of people here who do. Maybe if the Carolinas got a team, I'd be interested again.
  15. You might have to since apparently Matt Rhule's word isn't enough.
  16. Well, in my defense, I get my information from the people who are actually involved with the team. I realize you think watching Showtime is a better source, but I disagree.
  17. The Charlotte area has pro football, pro basketball and soon to be pro soccer. How do you feel about pro baseball? (and the Oakland A's in particular)
  18. Except all of the moves made this offseason have been made without David Tepper's direction. Source: Matt Rhule I get that you want to believe David Tepper is running everything, but the people who are actually involved say he's letting them do their jobs without interference. He doesn't dictate anything. He just asks questions. And despite your hero worship, that's actually the best thing he could do.
  19. Outside of being "long term", isn't this also the common perception of Matt Rhule?
  20. It's apparently not a universally loved decision within the Jaguars staff.
  21. Pretty much. He'll be back for camp. Whether or not he makes it out of camp is a whole other question.
