The Kansas City Chiefs have suggested a rule change to the NFL's Jersey numbering system. According to Albert Breer, the proposal would allow players other than offensive and defensive linemen to wear any number from 1 to 49. Josh Klein commented on some possible Panther choices.

There was word a long time ago that it could happen but I've not seen a single thing from a reliable source indicating that it's happening now. On the flipside, a lot of people are reacting to the news of Roy Williams retiring as if that were an April fool's gag when it's apparently not.

What was the boldest move this franchise has made?
Mr. Scot replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know some of our moves cross over into both bold and stupid, but even as a big fan of Jake I have to say that one was just plain stupid. That extension was basically a reward for past service. Hurney and Richardson we're both okay with that kind of move, but smart teams know that's something you never do. -
I don't really want to use a second round pick on Mond or any other guy whose ceiling is to be a backup. We could put that pick to a lot better use, like a lineman or a corner.

You're right, though that doesn't necessarily mean they want to draft him.

You know someone. Cool. Many of us on here know several who, for varying reasons, did not go to police. In fact, the majority of women don't. As to the accusers, many of them also reported the stories to friends and loved ones. That includes the SI accuser whose story was checked out by the reporter who wrote it. All have said they feared reprisal, and some reported that Watson made veiled (or not so veiled) threats. If you aren't aware of this, like you weren't aware of other details, I'm guessing you haven't read the cases. You're apparently also unaware that not all of the cases are represented by the same lawyer. The SI accuser has different counsel. Bottom Line: The whole "bunch of b-tches looking for money" rationalization is pretty embarrassing, and again a big reason why a lot of women don't come forward in cases like this.

I'll tell you the same thing I've told others. If you know someone who's actually been a victim of something like this, you might understand how difficult it is for women, even in cases where the person in question isn't rich or famous. Attitudes like "well why didn't you do this like I think you should have" are one of the biggest factors that help make it tougher for victims to get justice.

Ouch. I'm gonna venture a guess and say he saw all of Kyle Pitts' drills.
-
To be perfectly clear though, I've never really given a sh-t about how fast or how well quarterbacks run. Show me how accurately they can throw a pass and how well they can read a defense. That's really all I need to know. If they've got athletic ability on top of that, cool. If they have athletic ability but can't pass well, not interested.

My thing with Vick wasn't as much his speed as how elusive he was. LG compared his running style to that of a punt returner more so than a runningback. I think that's a good analysis.
-
I'd forgotten Marcus Vick existed. (I'm probably not alone in that)
-
With Mond winning multiple Super Bowls. I wouldn't even guarantee he's going to be a starter at the pro level.
-
Don't remember. I'm going off what I've seen.
-
Good luck with that.
-
Aaahhh, don't think I could sign on to that idea. I'd say Fields is significantly better than Tyrod Taylor.
-
That's a comparison I could see. LG and I were discussing that earlier. Fields might be about as fast as Vick but he doesn't seem quite as elusive.
-
We're not really gonna have another one of these "I don't believe women if they don't handle it the way I think they ought to" discussions are we? Good Lord
-
Is Fields "Cam Lite" or is he Vick with better passing skills?
-
I'd opt for neither.
-
Yeah, it's not just "being naked". Three different women have accused him of forcing them to perform oral sex. Also worth remembering that if you expose yourself in areas where you're not supposed to or where it's unwanted, that's enough to get you arrested.
-
Fair enough.

Kudos if you read the title in George Thorogood's singing voice. In truth though, the question is about who the Panthers love. A few days back, Joe Person stated that the Panthers weren't all that enthralled with any of the quarterbacks outside the top two. In his mailbag today, Albert Breer hinted that the Panthers don't necessarily "love" all of the top five quarterbacks, saying that whether or not we'd be willing to trade up for someone who fell out of the first four or five picks was dependent on whether it was a quarterback we were really interested in. Breer didn't often offer any specifics as to who we loved and who we didn't. Plus it's worth noting that Person's comments were made before Justin Fields Pro Day. So the question that I would then ask regarding the top five quarterbacks (Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance and Jones) is this: Who do you think the Panthers love, and who do they not?

Don't know if it's even in this thread, but I remember replying to it.
