I think he's phenomenal. Hell, he's got all the qualities I love in a quarterback. Sadly, I'm also very concerned about his durability because of his frame. That's why I prefer Stroud.

Haven't read the whole thread, but there's a factor here that I think is kind of important. Is this data about injuries in general or does it break them down by type? A big guy blowing a knee because he's too heavy or a runningback tearing a ligament cutting on bad turf is a lot different than a guy at quarterback (or any other position, honestly) getting knocked out by a crushing hit. That's the type of injury that scares people with Young. I doubt anybody's more worried about him blowing a knee because he's smaller. A concussion or a shoulder injury because he got crushed by a 300 plus pound DT though? Yeah. So unless we're breaking this down by types of injury, it's not as pertinent to the Young vs Stroud debate.

Ask for 2 and 12 first

Treating draft picks like a challenge is a good way to get yourself fired.

The question though is how much better. As someone else mentioned, if the difference isn't meeting a significant threshold, you take the guy who doesn't have the durability question.

All receivers take hits. If you've got the choice of who to send over the middle, are you picking Anquan Boldin or Tutu Atwell?

Sorry, but all of these are pretty much invalid. 1. Read the articles describing the negotiations that led to the trade. You'll find the Combine had nothing to do with the decision other than it was a chance for Scott Fitterer and Ryan Poles to meet in person. 2. Numerous sources have confirmed Tepper is leaving the decision to Fitterer and Reich. Also, football decisions that are made for non-football reasons (like marketing) invariably turn out to be stupid decisions. 3. The proficiency of our coaching staff does not mean they're going to take the biggest challenge. They and the scouting staff are still going to take the guy that is best suited for the job. 4. Sorry, but this is just tinfoil hat stuff with no actual evidence or rationale. Multiple reports have stated that the team is in "win now" mode. That's why they've built the roster they have. "Win now" teams don't draft three year projects.
