  1. It's not so much a question to me of what if they'd have gone their separate ways. It's more a point of what they did, they did together. Are you positive you count on one or the other of them being able to do it on their own? I'm not.
  2. Word is he offered to pay them Tuesday for a hamburger today but then didn't follow through...
  3. Meanwhile in Washington... Rivera had the chance to hire Shurmur in Carolina but went with Mike Shula instead.
  4. Interesting note from San Fran...
  5. Looks like it's happening... Insert line about how the mighty have fallen here...
  6. This hiring cycle isn't seeing a lot of love for defensive coaches. There are a few, but most of the interviews seem to be going to offensive guys.
  7. Brees and Payton absolutely complemented each other. Doesn't necessarily mean one made the other, but it was the combo of the two of them more than it was either individual. That does, however, mean that you'd be counting on Payton to do it again here without someone like Brees. For an example of how that could turn out, how are things going in New England right now?
  8. Jonathan Jones confirmed we weren't interested in Harbaugh. Guess nobody else was interested enough to suit him either.
  9. There was a story from some obscure source a while back that painted Stephen Drummond as our version of Jack Easterby and said Drummond was going to manipulate Tepper into hiring Leftwich. Obviously, that story's not looking too credible right now.
  10. Lady Cowboy Fan is ready to crawl through the TV and strangle him.
  11. Lots of speculation that Brady ends up with the Raiders next year (reunited with Josh McDaniels).
  12. Said in the other, Lady Cowboy Fan is scaring our baby parakeet with her game reactions
  13. Said it earlier but it applies here... There's always some unicorn, generally a head coach or a quarterback, who fans latch on to thinking "if we just get this guy, we're guaranteed to win it all". It's never that simple, and a good number of those guys wind up going somewhere else and failing.
