  1. Defense seemed to adjust well after the first drive. Offense?
  2. That whole thing of not giving up a touchdown on the first drive is long past. Of course, we lost most of those games, so...
  3. I set my acceptance point at two firsts plus either this year's and next year's second or next year's second and this year's third. Sounds like the Rams got pretty close to that, but not quite.
  4. Don't know. It's possible. Also possible Tepper said "Look, were not trading Brian Burns, or DJ Moore, or... whomever". Additionally possible Fitterer said Burns, Moore, etc. are too valuable to give up. But at least for now, we don't know.
  5. Inactives: RB Chuba Hubbard WR Rashard Higgins TE Stephen Sullivan OT Larnel Coleman LB Arron Mosby S Juston Burris
  6. And your idea as to why is based solely on your own speculation. What I mentioned about Fitterer including Tepper in the discussion of major transactions is based on prior reports. You ignore those because they don't fit what you want to happen.
  7. That's pure speculation, and goes against what's actually been reported. I get that you want him fired, but I'm afraid the reality isn't shaping up to fit your narrative.
  8. To be fair, probably closer to eight or nine paragraphs if you were separating your points
  9. With everyday decisions he likely is. Rvery report that has detailed prior trade discussions though has confirmed that Fitterer takes a collaborative approach. He works with Morgan, scouts and others and, on high profile decisions at least, Tepper.
  10. You think that wasn't run past Tepper?
  11. Nope, but I do think he's kept informed on decisions regarding high profile players like Moore and Burns.
  12. Not so sure our owner agrees. Frankly, I'd put a pretty high likelihood on the criteria for what we would or wouldn't accept for guys like Moore and Burns having been discussed with Tepper.
  13. There's zero indication Fitterer is on any sort of hot seat. Just the opposite. Josh Klein, for example, described him as "very safe".
  14. ...but were rebuffed. From the article: The Packers also called on Panthers WR D.J. Moore, sources say, but it was a non-starter for a Carolina team that wanted to keep its young core together.
  15. Who gushed? I can recall Burns and McCaffrey offering public defenses but I wouldn't have called that "gushing". The closest you likely got to enthusiasm came from Temple/Baylor guys like Robbie Anderson and Colin Thompson. Nobody should take those guys seriously.
  16. We're still a long ways away from having to make that choice. Right now, the one thing I feel comfortable saying is that Steve Wilks is worlds better than Matt Rhule. You can call that a little bar to clear or whatever, but I call it something that at least for right now, I'm happy to see.
  17. If you want something tangible to hang your hat on, there's this... Matt Rhule talked about making the Panthers a hard running team. Steve Wilks made it happen.
  18. I beat the bot by about sixty seconds
  19. Don't know if Wilks gets the permanent gig... But yes, there's a tangible difference in the way players feel about him versus how they felt about Matt Rhule.
