  1. How much longer is Donald around though? That discussion has been brought up as well.
  2. At what point did I suggest that our results have been good?
  3. Regarding this point, I feel like it's incumbent to mention that we are owned by David Tepper
  4. Well, this discussion has a little over 3 hours to get resolved...
  5. Would they potentially be interested in a certain "action" figure? (maybe even a linebacker)
  6. And now they've got Josh McDaniels with basically his handpicked GM. It's almost like they see the Panthers of the last three years as a model franchise
  7. If we were to hire Steichen, I'd give Steve Wilks a pretty decent chance of sticking around as part of the staff. They worked together back in San Diego.
  8. I've seen no indication that they would outside of speculation. If they did of course, I'd certainly take it.
  9. Tepper might. And Burns is a high enough profile player that I think Tepper will believe Fitterer needs the benefit of his "wisdom"
  10. Sort of... Jon Gruden had pretty much the same deal as Matt Rhule. He was in charge of everything. I've seen a few people speculate that he only brought Mayock aboard as a fall guy in case he needed one.
  11. About the only scenario where I could see trading for only two firsts is if you got the Eagles two first rounders from this year. That would be hard to pass up.
  12. Was still Gruden making the picks at that time, wasn't it?
  13. I could potentially see McAdoo staying around if Steve Wilks got the head coaching job, but that's not absolutely certain. In just about any other scenario, unless we hired somebody that had worked extensively with him before, it's hard to picture. (and I can't think of a head coaching candidate who fits that description)
  14. He's connected to our current OC as well. But if we were to hire Waldron, I don't necessarily think he'd keep Ben McAdoo around. (maybe as a QB coach, I suppose)
  15. Arguably more than they should have. Kinda hoping nobody references that deal in the negotiations.
  16. Yep. That's classic fanthink. "He made a mistake last game? Cut him!!!" (then sign somebody who's not as good, because that'll show him)
  17. I like Wilks a lot. He's a leader, he doesn't make excuses, he doesn't shirk responsibility and he doesn't throw his players under the bus. I have no doubt every guy on the roster would probably run through a wall for him and his assistants seem to like working for him. All that said, I don't believe he's going to get the long-term job. But with that said, I'd be perfectly fine with it if he did.
  18. I've heard that too, but even with this season on the books, how much would you really pay Smith?
  19. Interim coaches don't get two seasons to prove themselves. If he wins the job, it's going to be this season. They're not going to put off hiring a new coach for another whole year just to "make sure" about Wilks.
  20. Don't think it's been mentioned, but we probably have to consider that this is one of those deals high profile enough that it might not be entirely up to Fitterer
