    He wasn't just a coach though. He was in charge of "the program" and from what we're hearing it sounds as though he was treating staff like peons. It's not the players who are speaking out...yet.

    Yeah, it turns out Bridgewater was likely telling the truth. The whole notion just sounded so ridiculous it was hard to accept.

    We've heard players defend him, but I suspect how he treated non-players may have been a whole other matter.

    Kinda makes me wonder if the attempts to downplay "keep pounding" might have come from Rhule.

    Thought the same. Wilks will likely say more tomorrow. I expect him to focus on "philosophical differences".

    If you put a guy in a position where he doesn't have final authority, how do you then hold him responsible for the guy who did have authority sucking?

    Pretty sure Rhule had it as a condition of his hire. He said things to that effect prior to becoming an NFL coach.

    Said it elsewhere: This is classic "college coach" behavior. College football coaches are kings of everything, like little tin gods of their programs. Rumors of Rhule being a massive micromanager certainly fit the profile. You can't be that guy at the NFL level, but it sounds like Rhule sure tried.

    Why would you retain a GM then not include him in the coaching search? That doesn't make any sense.
