  1. The Haslams have been trying to push the story that Watson is remorseful. Watson himself is doing a pretty good job of undercutting that narrative.
  2. Dude, the guy has a nice story. Don't be a prick about it.
  3. Big part of it, yeah. Also didn't take much time to figure out the defense.
  4. Yep. When you look at the skill positions, we have damn near ideal personnel for running a WCO.
  5. Going off what 'm reading right now, I wouldn't bet on it. The Players Association didn't appeal the six game suspension so that stands. The next battle will be over whether he's suspended longer.
  6. The Exempt List is an option as far as I know. Not sure on the second but I'm guessing he would, probably with Rusty Hardin by his side. i think pretty much everyone was expecting this. The NFL knows fans and the general public (outside of Cleveland) are anywhere from very upset to absolutely livid about the length of the suspension.
  7. One of the phrases new defensive guys who joined the Lions during the Barry Sanders era always heard was "Don't touch Barry!"
  8. Things are getting kinda nteresting down in N'Orleans
  9. That brings up something I meant to ask @ellis John, what's your opinion of Anderson as a WCO receiver? West Coast Offenses certainly do make use of deep threats (Reid used to do it all the time in Philly) but the primary skill set needed is the ability to catch a quick pass and run it for a lot of yards. Pure deep threats tend to work better in a Coryell. Anderson is certainly a deep threat, but have you seen enough of him as a RAC guy to endorse him in our system? Heaven knows his hands were an issue last year. I feel like I've definitely seen him do that before, just not sure if I've seen it enough.
  10. I get all that. I just don't worry too much about it. Hell, if we're so simplistic that a few highlight reels on Twitter can damage us, then I don't think we're that good.
  11. Tepper: Stepping back and letting the people who are smarter than him when it comes to football make the important decisions. Rhule: Taking a college job at a university I like
  12. Had a steno pad like that one year. Went through a lot of pages (probably wouldn't have been classified as "environmentally friendly" those years)
  13. I don't think it's personality as much as results. Dan Marino used to cuss and swear and call out everybody. On the other hand, Joe Montana pretty much never lost his cool. I think basically, if you produce results, guys will follow you. If you don't, well...
  14. Hell, last year no spying was needed. Teams that faced as had all our offensive plays figured out by halftime
  15. I used to take a notepad and sort everything out later. Once got asked if I was scouting for another team (was wearing a personalized Panthers Jersey at the time) Don't know if they still allow notepads.
  16. Yeah, I don't feel the need for the "competition" at quarterback to continue. Ditto the offensive line. It's time to start building chemistry with the starters.
  17. I'm not a fan of the "tinkering" honestly, but I'll wait and see what happens.
  18. No cans of worms among fans in that deal at all, right?
