It's like a tradition now...
-
The rise of sports talk guys like Jim Rome didn't help matters.
-
There's talk that Major League Baseball putting a guy on a two year suspension even without criminal charges might affect how the NFL treats Watson. Some believe the league might not want to look "soft" on sexual misconduct issues. Don't know if anything comes of it but it kinda makes sense, especially given the new allegations and the New York Times story.
-
Disappointing, I know. The thing that scared me the most about Watson was that it always felt like there was something new lurking around the corner, like a cheesy announcer just waiting to jump out and yell "But wait, there's more!" Lo and behold, there actually was.
-
Richardson never did, and for one primary reason. He trusted the wrong people, specifically Marty Hurney. Tepper so far has trusted Marty Hurney and Matt Rhule. That worries me...a lot. Not being able to distinguish who you should trust and who you shouldn't is one of the surest ways to get into the NFL basement, and stay there.
-
Jerry Richardson had exactly the same vision but no clue how to accomplish it. Tepper so far is no different. I long ago stopped giving anyone credit for "wanting to win". Everybody wants to win, but if you have no frigging clue how to do so, all the wanting in the world doesn't mean sh,-t.
-
Right now, I'm extremely happy that isn't us.
-
Tepper is responsible for the on field product because he chooses who runs the football operations. It was the same with Richardson.
-
Kunkel is normally a very good source. This was just kind of lame.
-
The percentage of professional athletes capable of honestly and/or objectively evaluating their own performance is...small.
-
For real though, when it comes to the football product, Tepper has made a load of missteps and little to nothing in the way of positive movement. The one hope he has now is that Scott Fitterer turns out to be a good GM.

Aaaaaaand here we go
-
The two had no connection. And you've been predicting this for what, three years now? Still hasn't happened, and there's not much reason to believe it ever will. New is not MVP Newton anymore. Whether or not you accept that doesn't really matter.
-
I'd say it's more about tape. Once other teams have film on what you can and can't do, they adjust. Then you either adjust to their adjustments or you decline.
-
That...doesn't really sound like somebody who wants to come back here.
-
Didn't figure it was. So...yeah I don't blame Kunkel for hyping his station but the words he used here were a poor choice.
-
That's kinda hard to reconcile with it not being a coaching, player or front office move. (or ownership change)
-
Numerous times, actually. It's not an all uncommon for insiders on Twitter to leak that there's going to be good news or a player signing or something like that. That just doesn't happen to be the case today.
-
I think the operative question is what fits Kunkel's idea of a "great day to be a Panther fan".
-
Maybe it's something like Kevin Colbert joining the front office. (I wish)
-
I was actually wondering...

Infested?
