  1. But like I told LG elsewhere, at least the guy who's constantly predicting Newton is coming back and having an MVP season is probably gonna be down for the count after this.
  2. Well, there's swinging like Babe Ruth and there's swinging like Mighty Casey...
  3. Didn't say it was a good plan... Either way, I don't think Rhule has a lot of faith in rookie QBs. His comments about Fields last year were a clue to that. Par for the course, it's a checkers move in a chess game.
  4. My favorite quote from that bit is DJ Moore asking "Did you fail animals?"
  5. I think the main priority right now is to save Matt Rhule's ass. (at least according to Matt Rhule)
  6. Side Note: The goofball who kept creating new screen names just to come back and predict that we'd sign Cam Newton and he'd have an MVP season might finally have to tap out now
  7. Dumped Cam Newton... Signed Teddy Bridgewater... Signed (and kept) PJ Walker... Traded for Sam Darnold... Traded away Teddy Bridgewater... Passed on the 2021 draft options... Did everything in our power to stupidly pursue Deshaun Watson... Drafted Matt Corral... And today, Baker Mayfield. I'm dizzy now
  8. Dude making a prediction of something not happening all but guarantees that it will
  9. This guy nailed it As did this one... On the flipside, damn! Double damn Oy
  10. I think we traded for somebody. Probably not a big deal
  11. He was on the Garoppolo train, I think. Also pretty sure he predicted there was no way Cleveland would give up Mayfield because they needed him in case of Watson's suspension
  12. I'm not comfortable using wins and losses to judge individual players in a team sport. Coaches and GMs? Yeah (with a few qualifications) but not individual players...including quarterbacks.
  13. I'm not going to make a decision like that based on stats, or win-loss record. I want to see how he plays.
  14. Nobody is against winning. What people fear is a short-term flash in the pan leading to an extended investment that turns out to not be worth it. Imagine, for example, that we had given Sam Darnold a big extension based on the first four games of last year. Heck, it wouldn't be the first time it happened to this team. Jerry Richardson gave Dom Capers a ten year guaranteed contract extension based on the 1996 season and look what happened after that. A lot of people don't believe in Matt Rhule and could very easily see a similar thing happening with him. (I'm one of them)
  15. To be fair, 25-30 million a year is relatively cheap for a starting quarterback, especially a good one.
  16. You can't go by my emotions, honestly. Lady Cowboy Fan would tell you me raising my eyebrows constitutes a huge emotional reaction. I make Mr. Spock look like the life of the party.
  17. Same as it was... It's interesting, I'll say that. Whether or not it turns out to be good remains to be seen.
  18. I'd actually be amused if they started filming commercials in his "new house".
  19. I don't know that at all. I'm not a fan of him, and I wasn't a fan of this trade, but I wouldn't guarantee he's going to be terrible.
  20. Yeah...can't see that at all. Pretty sure keeping PJ Walker over Matt Corral would be Matt Rhule's fast track ticket to the unemployment line.
  21. Apparently posted on Instagram yesterday... I would assume it has nothing to do with Baker Mayfield.
  22. Didn't say I wanted us to do it. I actually didn't. But it's done...
