  1. He's the guy who decides whose wheelhouse it is, though. So far those choices haven't been great.
  2. That's more Rhule and Fitterer than Tepper though. To be fair though, I don't think the problem is Tepper not giving a sh-t. Just like Richardson, he wants to win. But also like Richardson, he doesn't have a clue how to do it and he puts his faith in the wrong people.
  3. One thing I was able to gather from Tepper's recent press conference is that he's well aware of how the fans view him, and that it ain't good. Some of the things he said mixed with nervous laughter made that pretty clear.
  4. That's the thing about practice. For somebody to look good, somebody else has gotta look bad
  5. I've never understood the notion that people should just sit down, shut up and accept bad football. And make no mistake, the football product that's been put on the field under David Tepper has been pretty bad.
  6. You should know me well enough to know two things: 1) I don't follow the crowd 2) The quality of football is what matters most Under Tepper, the football started off bad, then got worse. Can he get better? I sure hope so, but right now it would be delusional to suggest that there isn't a need to get better. It's bad. It needs to improve.
  7. Hadn't seen anything anywhere other than that she had a baby. Definitely hope there's not any problems.
  8. Not a big deal but I don't know why you'd call it a "family situation". Why not just say "his wife had a baby"?
  9. General belief from insiders and analysts is that he's played his last down for the Browns. Expectation is that once Watson is suspended, they'll go with Brissett as their starter.
  10. Apple said something, but he wasn't the source for the story I'm thinking of.
  11. He's probably just here spying for the Bills...or maybe the commanders
  12. When the story about criticism from a league source came out last year, specifically the one that said the Panthers weren't a true meritocracy and we had people playing or even starting that wouldn't even be on a roster anywhere else, Walker was one of the names that came to mind.
  13. Now if they let him go, I'm really gonna believe that Matt Rhule has lost some power.
  14. I don't hate anyone for being bad at their job, and Richardson was most definitely bad at his. The other stuff is a whole different matter though.
  15. The rise of sports talk guys like Jim Rome didn't help matters.
  16. There's talk that Major League Baseball putting a guy on a two year suspension even without criminal charges might affect how the NFL treats Watson. Some believe the league might not want to look "soft" on sexual misconduct issues. Don't know if anything comes of it but it kinda makes sense, especially given the new allegations and the New York Times story.
  17. Disappointing, I know. The thing that scared me the most about Watson was that it always felt like there was something new lurking around the corner, like a cheesy announcer just waiting to jump out and yell "But wait, there's more!" Lo and behold, there actually was.
  18. Richardson never did, and for one primary reason. He trusted the wrong people, specifically Marty Hurney. Tepper so far has trusted Marty Hurney and Matt Rhule. That worries me...a lot. Not being able to distinguish who you should trust and who you shouldn't is one of the surest ways to get into the NFL basement, and stay there.
