Lotta people think there aren't any franchise QBs available in this year's draft.

Does anyone bother listening to the post-game pressers?
Mr. Scot replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, I follow the tweets, so... -
FYI: We're not eliminated. As to the topic though, fans can handle losing in a newish situation if we actually looked competitive. We don't. It's one thing to lose, another to look like losers in the process.

Panthers officially eliminated from the playoffs
Mr. Scot replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
FYI: The Panthers are in fact not eliminated from playoff contention just yet. It's an extreme long shot, but still mathematically possible. -
Rhule is the biggest joke to ever coach this team

Yeah. -
The Packers and Cardinals are good too, but I still have questions about Arizona.
-
We still have to face Tampa twice
-
They wanted him in last year's draft before Fitterer got here, so you'd probably have to say Rhule.

Moore isn't experienced enough. That's another "next Sean McVay" hopeful that I just can't justify. Daboll could be good and he's got the connections to build a good staff. His star is fading somewhat of late but the connections to Dan Morgan and Pat Stewart could count for a lot. Fitterer has no connections to any of the up and coming HC candidates that I've been able to find but there are some back channel Packers-Seahawks acquaintances that might lead to Nathaniel Hackett. At the very least, you'd have to figure he knows of him by rep.

Whether it was an insult doesn't really matter to me. It was a mistake.

Morgan arrived too late in the offseason to have any significant impact on free agency, not that it might have mattered much with Mr. "I want versatility" in place. Now I want to see what Fitterer and Morgan can do with the actual power to make the roster. The main changes I want to see made are, obviously, coaching (preferably Nathaniel Hackett, maybe Brian Daboll if Morgan pushes for him), pruning any ody associated with Rhule from the team and procuring some additional front office types (Lake Dawson from Buffalo would be nice, Fitterer's old buddy Scot McCloughan if he can stay sober). My one question is what to do with Pat Stewart. He's technically a Rhule guy but he does also have legit experience for his role.

Not that big a masochist... -

I'm gonna have to check that out.

I'm not. And I'm sure as hell not ready to trust an entire power structure built by the least intelligent football mind in the room. Fitterer is a draft guy. Morgan is a pro player guy. I want to see what those guys can do with an offseason where they don't have a college coach in charge of setting the menu and making the final roster decisions.
-
And you want a front office / coaching staff built by the same guy who was stupid enough to trust Marty Hurney? I sure as hell don't.
-
Fitterer isn't the one who gave a college coach that kind of power. The guy who did is the guy you're talking about entrusting to remake our entire braintrust.. Also have to realize that if you don't keep Fitterer, it's not guaranteed you keep Morgan. The two of them are very close friends and Morgan might not be happy seeing the guy who helped him become who he is get dumped after one season when he didn't even have full power. You willing to take that chance too?

It's the same as the environment he came from in Seattle. And with that team, it worked. I'd ask you these questions: Do you really want to... 1) Replace both a coach and GM in the same offseason? 2) Leave that kind of full rebuild in the hands of David Tepper? That's who's going to be picking both our next coach and our next GM if we don't keep Fitterer around.

Holy sh-t, the Cowboys are actually trying to help Washington get back in the game
