    Signing this many free agents could very easily point to the Patriots wanting to use their draft picks to trade up. Not their style though...

    49ers were previously said to be looking at Bridgewater, but... Dalton fits either scheme.

    Yeah, pretty much And to be fair, it has worked once or twice before so it's not unprecedented. Even in those cases though, it wasn't sustained success. It was a year of glory followed by a lot of years of suckage paying for that one year. That's why I've never been in favor of us going that route.

    Dream teams. That path has been trod several times since unrestricted free agency began. It doesn't always work. Honestly, I've probably seen it not work more times than I've seen it work.
