  1. Voth offers arguably the consistently highest quality Panthers coverage available. He definitely knows what he's talking about.
  2. Robinson is one of those guys that some looked at and said "maybe he's in the wrong scheme" while others just said he was bad. Wouldn't mind investigating. He certainly showed talent early on, and Lord only knows what Rob Ryan was doing with his 'revolutionary defensive ideas' last year.
  3. Understand, there was some supposed 'inside information' offered here last year that turned out bogus. With that in mind, don't be surprised if people take it with a grain of salt. Kudos to you if it turns out correct, but be aware folks (including me) are gonna be skeptical absent some sort of confirmation.
  4. I guess what it reminds me of most is when the Saints took a chance on Dan Morgan. Unfortunately, it also reminds me of our deal with Chuck Smith. Again, if we go this route, I'll be okay with it. Hopeful that they would crank out a team friendly deal and check his health out thoroughly.
  5. The Hardy move was the one big mistake that he made last year. That move had a domino effect that effectively kept us from going after better players. At the time though, it made sense. And there was no way to predict what would happen. As to Oher, he's here largely on the word of his OL Coach. On that front, I'm cautious but hopeful (which is largely how I'd feel if we signed Jake Long; only more so on the 'cautious' side due to his injury history). And I'd add that while free agency last year might not have looked so hot. free agency the year before looked pretty good. So I'd shy away from any suggestion that we know how good or bad he can be on that front yet.
  6. I detect unhappiness in your tone, JR You're not on board with the overhaul?
  7. The best rookie class in team history. a second straight division championship for the first time ever in the NFC South, a trip to the playoffs and our first playoff win in ten years, plus slowly improving salary cap space and solid footing for the future. Any questions?
  8. How's his speed though? I've seen conflicting ideas on that.
  9. I'd actually like the Saints to get him. If it's late in the game and you need to get a good long pass interference call, he gives you a good shot.
  10. This offseason, I'm prepared to see pretty much anything. Someone could offer him big, guaranteed money and I probably wouldn't be shocked.
  11. The deal would be everything. You could try something like they structured for Dan Morgan (essentially a 'game by game' deal) but I gotta believe his agent would absolutely hate that.
  12. I believe that about as much as I believed Baghdad Bob.
  13. If you can get that kind of cap friendly deal. I'll grant that should be possible, but it's not guaranteed. If we sign him, I'll be on board. Just nervously so.
  14. I look at him and I see Dan Morgan. Great when healthy, but never healthy.
  15. Backing up one player with question marks using another player with question marks strikes me as too much risk. I respect your opinion, but you and I disagree on this one. Again though, if they try him out and think he's worth a shot, I won't scream. I'll be nervous, but I won't be upset.
  16. I think we define 'low risk' differently. To be clear, I'm not against the idea of giving him a try (after an extremely thorough physical, mind you). I just don't have a whole lot of faith in it.
  17. You have no idea what a franchise tag is, do you?
  18. You sure about that? I saw he was considering it but didn't see it confirmed.
