  1. Honestly I'd argue that what most of them are doing in college right now is an argument against them starting right away rather than for it.
  2. I'd say more of a Derek Anderson style backup, though anything's possible. Look what happened with Geno Smith
  3. The Texans would likely disagree too. It's a case-by-case thing, and in the case of Williams, well...
  4. Yell...a lot (she's not a fan)
  5. I'd consider that a legitimate possibility
  6. Can't speak for Canales, but I'm not sold yet. He deserves credit for playing well the last few games though. I'd be okay with him starting the rest of the season. Ultimately I'd still say his ceiling is as a Chad Pennington type player.
  7. https://x.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1856399610366882012?t=Lo5sR-mMfntOOQMMMS1LyA&s=19 The "Waddle" of Waddle & Silvy being former Bears receiver Tom Waddle...
  8. https://x.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1856005425583321339?t=wWufSMGTRhauxt-vs7qhGg&s=19 (links still not embedding for me, maybe it's my browser) I've seen more than one rumor that his teammates aren't exactly fond of him. This scene might lend to that idea.
  9. Just to be clear, was that quote from Richardson or Williams?
  10. This has been true for several years now. It's the reason why a lot of people wish the NFL had a true minor league where quarterbacks could go to develop for a year or two. (some might point to the UFL, but I don't really think they fit the bill) The trends that we see in the college game these days aren't exactly encouraging either.
  11. I agree with the overall assessment, but for the moment I'm still hoping we draft a top flight center to run the line in the future. That said, I'm willing to see what Cade Mays can do.
  12. From what I understand, his contract is up at the end of this year anyway. She'd still just as soon see him fired ASAP, regardless.
  13. Rumor is that some Bears players thought Williams should be benched as opposed to Waldron being fired. True? Don't know. Plausible? Yeah. Either way, given their prior connections It's not exactly hard to imagine Waldron becoming a part of Dave Canales' Panthers staff in some role. (heck, I'd be for it)
  14. The answer to that question regarding Williams is kind of up in the air right now, but trending towards "no".
  15. Possible. Also possible he's just having a bad day.
  16. We did for one season. It just went south after that.
  17. Anybody else wonder what a backfield with Chuba Hubbard and Tyler Algier might look like?
  18. Mods might want to merge this in since KFD already made a thread
  19. Schoen had been a super solid personnel guy for most of his career. Might be the same situation as Daboll though. Great as part of a team, not so great in charge. If he did get fired, wouldn't be surprised at all to see Morgan bring him aboard for us.
  20. I'd take him as a quarterback coach or even an OC in a heartbeat. Head coach? Might not be his thing
  21. Anyone else watching Falcons-Saints? Maybe Steelers-Commanders? Or after this morning, are you done?
  22. Christensen, Mays and Company did a good job, especially giving up only a single sack (and that on a wonky play). Not bad at all
