  1. That's good news. Kinda wondering why this isn't more widely reported.
  2. It's definitely possible. He's the only guy saying it right now, though. That's why I have questions.
  3. If he announced his retirement tomorrow, would anyone blame him? Would anyone be shocked?
  4. Practically speaking, does it even have to be true? If people believe that's what happened, they'll be out for blood.
  5. Sadly, I've actually experienced that situation. A coworker (who was a good friend of mine) collapsed and died on the job right after returning from lunch. I had left sick that day so I wasn't there. Didn't find out till the next morning. It was absolutely devastating. The office administrators had also gone home, but the ranking manager there made the decision to close the building down. He didn't technically have the authority to do so but he basically said "screw that". He wasn't gonna try and make people work in the face of something that horrible. To their credit, the administration agreed and closed the office until a few days after the funeral. The day they reopened, they had a ceremony in his memory.
  6. Totally agree. It's bad enough that I believe Goodell should step down over this.
  7. From what's been reported, the league told them they needed to get ready to play again in five minutes. Zac Taylor went over to the Bills sideline to talk to Sean McDermott. The two of them agreed they weren't going back out there and took their players back to the locker room.
  8. I don't normally say stuff like this, but Goodell should resign. This is bullsh-t.
  9. I like Callahan, especially if he brings his dad with him.
  10. That doesn't happen often, and I haven't seen anything indicating it's a superior arrangement.
  11. Back when he was coaching the Ravens and Tony Dungy was coaching Peyton in Indy, Brian Billick joked that the football gods had a weird sense of humor to give him the Ravens defense and Dungy the Colts offense.
  12. Albright's hit or miss on Panthers and other teams' news but he's usually right about Broncos stuff.
  13. Same. I'd still take him as an OC in a heartbeat. Head coach? Not so much. Pretty much every behind the scenes story that's come out confirms Rhule made the quarterback decisions. The one notable exception being the fifth year option on Darnold but given what we've seen from him this year, I don't have as much of a problem with that as I did.
  14. I'm not convinced Stroud fixes anything. If he fell to us, okay. Trading extra picks for him? That's a no. People lament us not being bold, but we have been. Hell, we were extremely bold a few years back. Specifically, when we hired a college coach, gave him a massive contract and full roster control. And now we're here...again. I don't really give a sh-t about "bold". I want smart.
