  1. Jerry Richardson took an expansion team that was built from scratch to within a game of the Super Bowl in it's second year. David Tepper took over that same team with it being much better established and coming off a Super Bowl just three years prior. Under his direction, the team hasn't so much as managed a 500 season. Now the NFL looks down on Tepper as basically everybody's b-tch and they're looking to bring in a much richer owner who might actually be able to field a good team given how the Broncos are set up. Face it, dude. The guy you worship is a laughingstock.
  2. Same The story in general was said to have been based on the Cowboys. (doubt that'd surprise anybody)
  3. Fair point He took a team that was at least competitive sometimes and turned them into a perennial doormat. The other owners probably appreciate the extra wins they get playing his team.
  4. Rubin since bought ownership stakes in both the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils. He also sold a company he founded for more money than Tepper paid for the Panthers. As far as thoroughbreds, if Robson Walton buys the Broncos (very real possibility) he's going to become the new richest owner in the NFL. His net worth makes Tepper look lower middle class. That the NFL is courting him is probably a good sign they realize David Tepper isn't what they hoped he'd be.
  5. My significant other disagrees. Heck, she doesn't even acknowledge the validity of the Houston Texans. I thought about bringing up the history of the Oilers with her but decided against it
  6. Personally, I think 32 teams is enough.
  7. I don't know what the motivation is for this or if the mayor's got some kind of plan, but it seems like a weird idea to me.
  8. Not actually true. Other bidders had the funds. As I recall, Tepper actually would have been the lowest bidder. Unfortunately for us, he was who the NFL wanted so we're stuck with the Horsesh-t Model
  9. I'm okay with waiting for them to be released...and then continuing to wait
  10. So I told her... She's now throwing a fit
  11. Disagree. Bradberry was a very smart corner. Those are the guys that are most ideal to try at safety.
  12. No, I'm not kidding. Apparently neither is he. Haven't told Lady Cowboy Fan about this yet
  13. Same reason he was on the table before... At issue is whether Matt Rhule thinks Garoppolo will help him save his job. If the answer is yes, then I absolutely expect him to be pursued.
  14. I don't necessarily think he's coming here, but I'd be willing to bet that Steve Wilks would push for us to go after him.
  15. Don't know that they had any issues with Navarro so much as they just really wanted Tepper. They told one of the other bidders (Michael Rubin, maybe) that he didn't need to continue unless he was prepared to spend 5 billion. He wasn't, so he dropped out. And then of course the team sold for far less than that.
  16. Technically, the NFL got us into it. As I recall, sentiment around here generally favored Ben Navarro. Would he have been better? Don't know, but so far Tepper is horse sh-t.
  17. Not necessarily ridiculous. I'd bet a lot is us can make up to that amount
  18. Up next: cheap, high quality jerseys
  19. All valid... Darnold's skill set actually fits a WCO scheme pretty well. His performance? Well...
  20. Has he worn that before? Was kinda hoping for 17 but that's probably not happening.
