  1. I think the volume of guys that we have there right now indicates probably more than just due diligence. I'd expect that same group to attend all the others though. (not sure what it would say if they didn't)
  2. Matt Rhule, Ben McAdoo, Sean Ryan, Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan have all been confirmed. I'm surprised David Tepper isn't there. Edit: Steelers reporter Mark Karboly said one of our scouts is there too (I'd guess Northeast region scout Eli Montague)
  3. The Steelers are a team that could take a quarterback in the draft though. I'd expect the visit is legit.
  4. Well to be fair, not every team needs a quarterback right now. I mean, you wouldn't expect Cleveland to be there. Point taken, though.
  5. At his combine presser, Scott Fitterer talked about not needing a "superstar" quarterback to win.
  6. Believe they signed Jacoby Brissett.
  7. Nah. Mike Tomlin is there too. And apparently so is Dan Morgan. Man, we sent everybody.
  8. They're still looking at free agents for that position.
  9. Whether or not he actually can is secondary. The primary question is whether or not Matt Rhule thinks he can.
  10. Mike Sando and Jayson Jenks have written an article chronicling Meyer's time with the Jaguars. And holy crap is there some crazy stuff in here Here's the first few paragraphs: Urban Meyer burst into a room full of players at the Jaguars’ facility. He was furious. One of his players had missed an assignment during a preseason game, leading to a busted play. Meyer was enraged when it happened. A day later, he was still fuming. If the mistake ever happened again, Meyer warned, he would cut every single one of them. “And do you know what would happen if I cut you guys?” Meyer said, according to four people in the room. “You couldn’t get a job paying more than $15 an hour.” There's more, including a much joked about note that despite being set to take an NFL head coaching job, Meyer had no idea who Aaron Donald and other well known players were. The full article is here: The most toxic environment I've ever been part of - Urban Meyer's disastrous year with the Jaguars It's worth a read (subscription required).
  11. I don't think they want to, especially Rhule. It'd likely require a better offer than what I'd expect most teams are ready to give. That said, stranger things have happened.
  12. Mine would be as follows... - Football intelligence - Ability to read a defense - Ability to make quick decisions - Passing accuracy Those are non-negotiable. Anything on top of that adds to them, but if they don't have those things I'm not interested.
  13. From what I've seen, it was only three or four last season.
  14. The Panthers think he is. In fact, in their draft evaluations they had him rated higher as a guard than they did as a tackle.
  15. If they manage to pick up another first round pick by trading McCaffrey or some other unknown means, I'll be firmly of the belief that our first pick will be a quarterback. The second first rounder would likely be used on an offensive lineman, maybe Trevor Penning or someone like that.
  16. I don't think it's guaranteed they see it that way. Rhule still needs to save his job, and he may not believe that a rookie quarterback is capable of doing that.
  17. Unless the NFL outlaws wearing gloves, it's inconsequential.
  18. They still could right up to the day after the Draft.
  19. Does it? I'd like to think it does, but we don't know that for sure. And as far as this not having a second round pick this year, there are other forms of compensation. I'm not a fan of this idea, but I'm not yet ready to rule it out. And of course if we do make the trade, I definitely hope it's for a lower price than what they're currently asking.
  20. Giants have been vocal about sticking with Daniel Jones. I think they might actually mean it.
  21. Not being broadcast live anywhere, is it? I know NFL Network has a special about it at 2:00 p.m.
