  1. Know how I know you didn't read the report? The Giants have multiple reasons for doing this, including financial considerations. Plus I kind of doubt that Joe Schoen is gonna just hang up on an old friend like Dan Morgan and tell him to never call again.
  2. The Panthers reportedly don't think this year's quarterback class is weak.
  3. See above. If they're set on taking a quarterback this year (and I think they are) then I want a way to also add some help.
  4. I think they're taking a quarterback this year. If they do, I'd like to be able to do so without missing out on one of those linemen. But also imagine for a moment that they took, say, Charles Cross at five and Tyler Linderbaum at seven. You could then move Bozeman to guard and have as strong a line as any in the league.
  5. What I suggested constitutes a package, but I'd throw in a player like Robby Anderson with no trouble.
  6. The report says they're open to trading either of this year's firsts for a first next year. I'm just suggesting an add-on. I'd also suggest having Dan Morgan be the one that makes the call.
  7. Personally, I'd call them to offer this year's #6 and next year's first for their two first rounders this year. Take a QB and an OL or two top OL and call it a day.
  8. I'm not touching anybody who makes comments about not needing to watch film.
  9. And heaven knows the Twitter age is prone to crazy rumors. Take this one, for example...
  10. I think Rapoport sometimes adds in his own speculation. It might be in response to a question or sometimes it's just "I think what they plan to do is this". Mind you, he's not the only one that does that. Joe Person does it sometimes as well, and others.
  11. As far as I know, she's independent, not part of any organization I'm aware of. She definitely doesn't have the resources some others might. And to be fair, that's where Bill Voth was just a few years ago. Same with our buddy Ellis who's leveraged a website and a Twitter page into a sports radio gig. Heck, even guys who were pushed out of their jobs like Darin Gantt and Aaron Wilson have managed to recover. Took a lot of hard work and dedication, though. I don't think that's limited to just sports media these days.
  12. We've had drama like this before. Reporters can be wrong for a lot of reasons: - Agents put out misinformation to help their clients - Sometimes players lie too- - People misinterpret reports about what someone is thinking of doing as what they're definitely doing - Even normally reliable sources can get things wrong - Teams change their minds, but may not want anyone to know that they changed their minds so they act like they didn't - Who a team gets will be presented as the guy they always wanted (even if he wasn't) Heck, as childish as it may sound, sometimes a team or a player that doesn't get what they want will act like they never wanted it just to save face. And on the flipside, fans sometimes get savage when reporters don't tell them what they want to hear (that's silly too). As to Sheena Quick, I have nothing against her. I get that she's relatively new and trying to build herself up but I haven't seen a load of major mistakes on her part, at least not any that I haven't seen from plenty of others more established folks (generally for one of the reasons listed above). It's not an easy job.
  13. Talking about not needing to watch film doesn't scream "smart" to me.
  14. Like I said, he's all over the place. It'd be good to know why.
  15. I've found the Panthers YouTube channel tends to be the easiest option.
  16. Neal is all over the place in the mocks. I've seen him anywhere from #1 overall to being our pick at #6. There seems to be a lot of varied opinion.
  17. In all seriousness, Burris is probably depth this year.
  18. Well, there was talk they were going to sign a safety
  19. It does if he thinks that quarterback will save his job. For what it's worth, word has been that the Panthers staff doesn't see this year's quarterback class as a bad one.
  20. Lot of people outside the building too... (I'm not one of them, but I get it)
  21. For what it's worth, Gilmore's not alone out there...
