  1. He is a situational/depth guy. Kind of by definition a JAG because there are a lot of guys in the league that can fill his role. Doesn't really mean I would want to cut him loose because everyone needs depth but I don't view him that much differently than someone like, say Obada. Although the Obada story was so cool that it did suck to see him go.
  2. Basically this. Donte is the biggest playmaker we have in the secondary but he is currently getting paid like a better CB than he actually is. Without Horn and the safeties, he is basically a liability too often. I like Donte and I would like to keep him. I just don't think he really moves the needle for our current team. If anything we should be stockpiling picks.
  3. There is zero basis to extend him at this point. Availability is an ability and he is one of the worst first rounds picks in franchise history in that regard through three years. It is a shame because he is very obviously a hard worker and talented player. I just don't see any hope of him ever staying healthy for any meaningful length of time.
  4. How bad is it that the best QB in the NFC South is Baker Mayfield?
  5. Yeah well we play the only other team in the same zip code. That's the Bears.
  6. It's not even remotely close. The games have shown that. There isn't anyone in the NFL near us.
  7. This shouldn't even be a real question. Because we are worse.
  8. I hope it works out but it's trending pretty heavily towards "body not made for the NFL." It just is what it is. He wasn't a terribly injury prone guy in college so it's hard to know what to say about it all. I was more of a Surtain guy if we went corner so that hurts some. In the end, I didn't expect for his career to basically be completely derailed by injuries. It just is what it is.
  9. As a good buddy of mine once said, "Potential just means you haven't done poo yet." That is basically JC Horn. He has done almost nothing in the NFL.
  10. Good WR's don’t typically completely disappear based on scheme. TMJ is not a good WR. He has proven that time and time again.
  11. I was an outlier on that one. All that trading down made me very skeptical. I don't subscribe to the "quantity over quality" draft method.
  12. Williams is not assured. He can return to school and get a lot of money via the NIL if he doesn't like who is at #1.
  13. I am skeptical his value would be as high as that at this point. We aren't the only people that know he wants out.
  14. We had a trade for him to the Rams. Something like that will never materialize again. There are very few teams that would even bother at this point. They will just wait until he holds out on a franchise tag so they can get him dirt cheap by comparison. May as well give up on the idea of any sort of major compensation. That time has passed.
  15. Smelling his own farts too much. Also, could be that Payton was as overrated as our fanbase always said. It isn't like he was dramatically successful before Drew Brees.
  16. I didn't get to watch, too late on a school night. What happened to Freddie?
  17. I do but honestly I travel the country most of the year so the times I attend I am usually flying in to see the games. I probably see more road games than home games over the past 3-4 years. I am very abnormal for a fan in that regard. I do have a close friend that is a long time PSL guy in Raleigh and he usually does the train in and out. He said it's pretty great.
  18. As a Canes and Panthers season ticket holder, one is probably going bye bye soon. It's not the team that has competed for a title for three straight seasons.
  19. Thankfully so. He retired to clean and massage Tepper's scrotum.
  20. Not sure I would blame that on Herbert. The Chargers have underperformed from Fouts, to Brees, to Rivers and now Herbert. It's where HOF QB's go to not win anything of note. Honestly, as shitty of a situation as the Panthers have endured since 1995, I wouldn't trade it for the Chargers. The surety of their underperformance(reg. season or playoffs) is amazing.
  21. Yeah, Howell is looking better for sure. The difference is that I am not a blind college homer.
