  1. Well Fitt(IMO) started his GM job on Oct. 11th, 2022. In that time span he has been okay, with the one blunder likely being passing on the insane trade amount for Burns. He has his first career offseason as a GM coming up, so it will be a lot easier to judge him when that happens.
  2. Hmmmm....wonder what that is about.......
  3. I think still 9th, even with SOS changes. Win or lose that should be the floor.
  4. I think maybe one more year under a better offense(hopefully) and with a valid NFL starting QB would help. If both of those happen and he still doesn't progress......well....it just is what it is. I would say that we have no reason to pass on elite WR talent in the draft.
  5. Well, I mean Bryce Young literally had nationally televised commercials.
  6. He is very talented. But it's like the classic stuff from the old HS to NBA era, teams eventually stop seeing potential when you don’t fix those problems.
  7. Caleb Williams is really putting up a lot of "can't do that at the next level" passes in this game. Definitely needs a lot of seasoning.
  8. Well he did technically start at OU first. Might be a loophole.
  9. Yeah, his WR bailed him out in a big way. Aren't gonna be able to get away with that in the NFL, bruh.
  10. Caleb Williams just threw a wildly stupid pass.
  11. Hekker, Pineiro, Woods deserve a shout out too. All look like keepers.
  12. Oh I don't care enough to look them up. Just pointing out that you clearly don't remember previous temper tantrums.
  13. I think if you watched Tampa enough this season the refs seem to be protecting Brady a lot less. He isn't the NFL golden child anymore but he hasn't figured that out yet.
  14. It's funny to bitch about bitching. I am not even bitching about the Panthers. I am bitching about the Huddle "fans." I mean.....posts don't disappear until you get banned. Just sayin'....
  15. Oh, not all Darnold is terrible, it is the one thing that makes people hope beyond reason that he could become something more than he is. His few tantalizing throws or displays of athletic ability I am sure have frustrated many coaches and fans alike. His skill level and physical ability aren't in question but he doesn't have the mental ability nor experience that an NFL starting caliber QB needs. It's not like that is rare among QB's that aren't starting caliber. DA was statistically better(average wise and winning percentage since the starting disparity is quite wide) as a Panther than Sam has been. That's even with this resurgence. But, as great of a backup as DA was for us....that's the problem in a nutshell. We aren't comparing Sam to Cam nor Jake nor Steve Beuerlein nor even Kerry Collins. We are comparing him to Derek Anderson.
  16. I have 100% seen you triggered on here. More than once, for that matter. It usually looks like you reading your CV aloud to try to prop up your fragile sense of intellectual superiority.
  17. I just don't understand it. It's being willingly ignorant out of pure, naked desperation. We are the Browns. This is what their fans turned into during their almost 20 year QB drought.
  18. You sound triggered. Did I hit a nerve? Darnold is better than he has been. The problem is that he still isn't good. That has quite literally been the problem his entire career. Anyone who wants a backup caliber QB starting for us probably was also pumped about Teddy, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinickie, PJ Walker, Will Grier, etc, etc, etc. This is why I say this fanbase has Stockholm Syndrome. We are so cultured to seeing subpar QB play that some of you guys literally don't remember what it looks like.
  19. Well we technically can't let him retire until the next Staal is ready. It has been 21 straight years of having a Staal on the roster.
  20. I think the most critical things are talent evaluation ability. I mean that from a player personnel standpoint and staff/coaching standpoint. You have to be able to identify the people to put around you to help make you successful. That has been a big problem with multiple of our ex-head coaches. They have some pretty big blinds spots among players, coaches or both. It would be great to have an offensive mind like Shanahan, McVay, DaBoll, etc. It's just not something the franchise has really experienced outside of maybe the Turner's.
  21. Eh....that's not a terrible comparison but Anderson's highs were much higher than Darnold and his lows were also higher. That is what makes DA better, IMO. He was a generally steadier guy, although not particularly spectacular. That's definitely a good guy for Darnold to try and become. DA had a nice career as a backup QB.
