  1. In fairness our guys would likely trip over their own feet on a stunt.
  2. It's funny to watch all of our RAS/project draft picks like DJ, Mingo, etc absolutely stink it up.
  3. Darnold playing very mediocre(or normal) severely being eclipsed by how bad the Jets offense is. Rodgers is frustrated and pressing. Lots of drops and missed throws.
  4. That's what I am saying. We would have gotten boat raced with Bryce.
  5. Man, the Jets really struggle with not being the Jets.
  6. Well, now you see how foolish that second part is.
  7. Yeah, it's a hell of a thing to expect your new HC to soldier through terrible QB play. In fairness to our previous coaching staff, that is exactly what Tepper made them do. It isn't like Dalton wasn't on the roster last season.
  8. We have been through cap hell, we aren't completely out of it so there isn't a great reason to double down when we are as bad of a team as we are. It's about building something sustainable and long term. Paying someone as a top 10 WR when they are not is how you end up having long term issues with cap management and personnel. I would very much like to keep Diontae around but it needs to be at a price that makes sense for our actual future.
  9. Baker will have a good year, I agree. Not MVP caliber, IMO. Darnold, well that other shoe is going to drop and a lot of people are gonna get real quiet, IMO. Young isn't relevant. This was a discussion of NFL QB's.
  10. Yeah, I am pretty skeptical about being able to keep him. But, not many other spots give him the opportunity to be a #1 WR, either.
  11. In Week 4. Don't expect those rankings to be the same in Week 18.
  12. He is on a ~$18.4 mil/year deal now. If we go in the 10-15 range, it's a pay cut, not a raise. Hence why it might be very hard to sign him. He is already making top 25 money at the position. At the time he signed his deal, it was more like top 15-20 money. Well staying in that range puts him around $20-24 mil. That is just too much money, IMO.
  13. Well you aren't gonna get special at $7 mil/year very often. Especially for a 29 year old.
  14. Yeah, you don't want to dump talent at basement prices and/or vastly overpay players. We have done too much of that and it has led to our current situation. Nor do you want to flub massive trades like the Young trade and the turned down Burns trade.
  15. https://overthecap.com/player/ashawn-robinson/4759 OTC Valuation at about $10 mil. Also his PFF rating has been high most of the year. It's just hard to stand out when everyone else around you is mostly bad.
  16. We would be foolish to not attempt it unless he perhaps made it clear he has no interest in re-signing here at all. It's a price thing, IMO. We can overpay a bunch of guys on the team because we already have cap issues.
