  1. Fair point but that 2001 roster was already better than this roster, I would argue.
  2. I don’t think 9-8 is realistic two year expectation for us, if I am being honest.
  3. Analytics has its uses but it isn't a substitute for using experienced eyes.
  4. You are aware that his averages with Bryce and Dalton are basically the same, right? Bryce: 4 Rec, 35 ypg, 0 TD Dalton: 3 Rec, 38.7 ypg, 0.33 TD
  5. He is statistically having his worst season but he's matched up against the best WR's just about every Sunday and having to cover for vastly longer than he needs to. That said, it has been a tough year for him by his standards. I am sure he would say so, as well. In the list of defensive worries, you really gotta dig deep to get down to where Horn is.
  6. We also haven't existed for 65 years and had 11 straight winning seasons with 10 playoff appearances, 4 Super Bowl appearances and 3 titles.
  7. Sanders has been a massive disappointment but he is also a 4th rounder. Probably should be a special teams guy for a while until he develops. We just don't have the ability to do so.
  8. Except that one player looks like he might be a 10+ year starting/possibly Pro Bowl player and the other is the guy we drafted.
  9. This game should actually be a blowout if KC wasn't choking harder in the redzone than the NFL on Taylor Swift's cock.
  10. I have yet to see any starting caliber players from this draft yet but hopefully they will emerge eventually.
  11. At least 3 seasons. I am amazed some people don't see the massive talent abyss we have to extract ourselves from. That's why we made all those cuts, to attempt to upgrade our non-NFL players to hopefully get 1 to 2 JAGs.
  12. Yeah, I have no idea what you saw but it's definitely not what I saw. There is very, very little logic or reason to the players we picked in that draft nor the position we took quite a few of them. If anything, it telegraphed that they don't have any intention of getting better through the draft for at least a couple of seasons. The free agency moves seem to be above Panthers average in some regards. OG overhaul was a big success, DB signings seem very sound, addition of Diontae was excellent. The rest of the signings are a mixed bag. I would say the disparity between the pro personnel decisions and draft decisions are massive. We will see how it turns out.
  13. Yeah, that sums up my thoughts and, as always, thanks for your insight. I know you follow this stuff very closely. The 2024 draft felt like another complete mess with very little rhyme or reason to the decisions.
  14. Time will tell but most likely it will be another scenario where once again Panthers fans are disappointed. Which, it won't even be that way anymore. It's an expectation.
  15. Our Time To Throw has to be near last in the NFL. That doesn't help.
  16. Oof. Yeah, I heard that thing is gonna hit Tampa/St. Pete. Safe travels.
  17. TBH, this could be a year of very stiff competition for that #1 spot overall. There are a lot of oddball dumpster fire teams. Giants are awful, Pats are awful, Dolphins could be terrible depending on Tua, Raiders look very bad and possibly getting worse, Browns look like a dumpster fire, Titans and Jags are in tailspins. It's a wild early first thirdish of a season.
  18. Holy poo. I am actually disappointed at the caliber of this thread knowing that.
  19. The advanced stats confirm this is the worst year of his career. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HornJa00.htm
  20. We only have two capable guys of both getting open and catching the ball regularly, that's Johnson and AT. Hopefully Coker can become a third.
  21. I will take a look at 2003 to 2023 and see the probability of having a winning record in the next two seasons after finishing .300 or less. Probably will take a little while to compile.
  22. It's a 2 year fix if you have an average NFL roster. It's not a 2 year fix if you have a bottom 5 NFL roster. As I said, those type of turnarounds are not at all common.
