That's who I wanted this offseason. I said to trade Bryce, bring in Flacco and have an open competition between him and Dalton. Build the rest of the roster with the draft. IMO still the best way to go a year later, but what do I know.

In recent years, teams have really gone crazy chasing and wildly overdrafting QBs. If you have the #1 pick you WILL have some juicy trade offers on the table, I have no doubt about that. If we can get a bunch of picks + Maxx Crosby from the Raiders, while still staying in the top 10... I'm gonna do backflips.

He's completely useless, it's like playing 10 vs 11 with him out there. But he's one of those "nice guys", friendly and personable. Likeable guy around the building and nobody wants to be the bad guy that kicks him to the curb. So he just gets to hang around forever even though he's useless. Wouldn't be surprised if Bryce ends up in the same situation.

Bryce clearly regressed from last year. Dalton seems to be getting progressively worse week after week. Play calling and play design leave a lot to be desired. Yeah, roster sucks, blah blah blah, but still a lot of signs pointing to DC being a "this is the only guy who would accept the job" type of hire.

Washington really needs to stop treating their QBs like they're RBs. Having watched the Panthers run Cam into the ground in a similar way, yeah it takes a bit of options off your offense, but it's really not worth it.

Mariotta has enough time to make a sandwich and check on his stock portfolio before throwing the pass.

I'm not a fan of trading away your best players for draft picks... but if the guy is just going to walk for nothing, seems better to get something while you can. Giving him a fat contract with all the other holes on the roster, also seems like a bad idea. His estimated value as a free agent is over $10 mill per year. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets something like a 5 years, $60 million deal. Are we going to pay that? I sure as hell hope not. Trade him for a solid deal, draft another RB in the 4th or 5th to pair with Brooks, spend your money on rebuilding the rest of the roster. This isn't complicated FFS.
