  1. Nope. I have asked and he does not know.
  2. I got clarity about Darnold on Saturday. Didn't leave much room for speculation lol I still think we could go QB, but it is much more likely we got get a CB or olineman.
  3. So the one thing my guy has always been consistent on with us is that Teddy is not going to be a member of this team at the start of next season. Teddy will not be a Panther. If Fields fell to 8 I wouldn't rule it out, but it seems unlikely.
  4. Don't necessarily think this is true.
  5. I am positive he will. Stability helps a lot. If not, hey Sam Howell is a pretty cool guy.
  6. At the end of the day I have faith in Matt Rhule and Joe Brady to turn Darnold into something he has not been at this point in his career. I am at least excited about week 1 now, as compared to the feeling of complete boredom and dread I had if we marched out there with Teddy B.
  7. Darrisaw could go at 8 as well. Trade down would be ideal, but if Darrisaw is the best tackle on the board, just take him there.
  8. For the record, I think the Panthers lost the trade. You made an amateur type move allowing your desperation for a QB become public, lost out on moving up, lost out on DW (not their fault), and settled for a QB who has done nothing but be a bust to this point in his career. There were no other teams coming close to this compensation and you really kind of flopped into Darnold, and it is probably directly from the top. This is a mark of confidence within our coaching staff, there is faith you can get past Sam's constant mistakes and mechanical breakdowns. You have pushed all your chips into your coaching staff and Sam Darnold. Darnold will be good enough to not get you a top 10 pick next year.
  9. The last QB Adam Gase coached. Granted, I think Tannehill was better than Darnold was at the point of Gase departing for both.
  10. I'd be cool with any of this. You are really in a cannot lose position at 8.
  11. I see a lot of technical things in Sam's game. I also see a lot of breakdown of his mechanics and reliance on physical skillset when a play breaks down, which in a NYJ uniform was pretty much every other play. You cannot make it to the NFL and play remotely well without learning the nuances of playing QB. Just silly. Then you would also have to argue that our entire coaching staff missed that as well. More stability and better coaching should put him at a higher level of play. Good enough to be a franchise QB? Who knows. Better than what we have now definitely. Sick dig at the end though.
  12. Lol wtf does that even mean. An embarrassingly bad take.
  13. You could probably reverse the order of OP now.
  14. In terms of likelihood 1. CB 2. OL 3. QB If they love Justin Fields and he falls to 8 it would still make sense.
  15. Tepper did not want Teddy on this team period. This makes that possible regardless of the draft.
  16. Unless we were to whiff in the draft, whiff on Darnold, and whiff on any other QB that becomes available. In which you would literally not have another option.
  17. Teddy is not going to be on this team. I would be very surprised in any situation that he is.
  18. Pretty weird right? Talk about a great smoke screen if they do take Fields.
  19. Not that I am saying it will happen. Makes more sense for us to send a third and then trade TB for a 5th or whatever we can get for him to DEN, NO, ETC
  20. They have plenty of cap space and it's a 1 year deal for a high quality backup, plus they still get a pick, why not?
  21. A 3rd is about his market I believe. I wouldn't rule out a swap for TB either.
