Sam Mills's HOF selection doesn't need any defense whatsoever. He was WAY more than worthy. End of discussion.

A combination of Tomlinson, Allen, and Cappa would be really nice for this line. My concern is would they even want to come here unless they are being paid a premium since this team is a clusterfug right now? I know money talks and bullcrap walks, but the market for these guys is going to be hot. I don't know if we have the cap space for two solid OL additions.

We didn't hire the HC or the GM I was hoping for. I tried to keep an open mind about Rhule but it is closed now. Verdict is still out for Fitts. He's got this draft and FA to show what he can do, although from the sound of it Rhule can overrule him? Terrible situation we have here.

I would consider re-signing Jackson, but if he gets a $$$ offer from another team I let him walk.
-
Not much value to be unlocked from just cutting guys. Again, play with the hand you were dealt and the deck of cards you bought. BTW I wouldn't even consider cutting Fox, he was one of our best signings last year.

I don't want any restructuring done to tie our hands in the next 3-5 years. Play with the hand you were dealt and chose. We all know this won't happen, they will restructure quite a few deals and I guess we'll keep kicking the can down the road when we could just swallow next season's failure just as we have done the past couple of seasons. If they re-sign Miller or Burris though I am buying a punching bag for Sundays.

I like Howell a lot and he does have a great arm, throws a beautiful deep ball, and he definitely showed a lot of poise behind that line at Carolina this year. I have him as the #3 QB in this year's draft behind Pickett and Willis. (Willis will either be a huge pick up for a team or a career back up, but his upside is pretty substantial) He reminds me of Justin Fields TBH with you. Big arm, can scramble, but will he make the best decisions for you? He's a bit shorter than Fields too. If the Panthers just absolutely believe there isn't an offensive lineman available to pick at #6 and somehow trade down and recoup some of the picks we lost, I would be OK drafting him later. I don't believe it's going to happen but....you never know!

What’s your pitch to Aaron Rodgers to come to Carolina
Rocky Davis replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lots of cocaine and hookers...... Rodgers isn't coming to Carolina. -
Carolina to active in veteran QB market...
Rocky Davis replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
It doesn't matter what QB they can bring in here until they fix the offensive line, until then I say don't waste any more money or draft capital and ride out Sam's 5th year. -
11/18 Game Thread, Canes @ Bruins 7PM EDT Puck Drop
Rocky Davis replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
I am sure the boys and RBA are taking it one game at a time. This team has the pieces to make some noise, but they definitely have to take care of the business in front of them. The Eastern Conference is stacked this year so it will take a focused effort! Love this group though and I feel like Jarvis and KK are starting to pick it up.....we have the talent and need to keep Freddie healthy. -
11/18 Game Thread, Canes @ Bruins 7PM EDT Puck Drop
Rocky Davis replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Love the win, but I would have saved a couple of those goals just in case we have to play the Booins in the postseason. Rask was not ready to face a team like the Canes, we were buzzing. Let's go and keep this up!! -
and all the while alienating your fan base? He is a 4D chess player - no cap.
-
I never thought I would say this, but if this douche bag gets hired as the offensive coordinator then I am not watching any Panthers game until Rhule and Co. are shown the door. This is piss poor and not even trying to correct things.

1/13 Game Thread: Canes v. Blue Jackets Puck Drop 7:00PM
Rocky Davis replied to Anybodyhome's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Agreed, only this wasn't the same Canes team that fought back and won that game. We didn't play well and we hung our goalies out to dry way tooooo much. I feel bad for Freddie and LaFontaine. -
He doesn't involve himself with clown shows.

Well the Hurricanes taking a cue from the Panthers tonight. Next play.... -
You made more sense than Rhule did in his press conference: "we uhm, uhm wanted to extend so we paid for a starting quarterback, uhm, uhm yeah that's all I got to say about that."
-
Yeah picking up that option was something. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
-
Well I suppose we could have all thought we would address our offensive line in the upcoming draft to provide *some* kind of protection for Ghost Darnold, but we went after a franchise corner and a 2nd rd. steal of a receiver. We did, however, draft two O-linemen in the 3rd and 6th rounds. They were able to start playing at their college positions in Weeks 16 and 17 last season.

Why would anyone raise this poo from the dead to keep reminding us of our complete fuggery?
-
man, Alabama now playing like the Panthers.
-
They may very well do this - it would definitely apply pressure to Georgia's secondary. With a team as talented as Alabama you are damned if you do, damned if you don't.
