  1. So pretty much this whole thread basically confirms that this is a house divided and no matter what your opinion is of Bryce, you will not change the other party's mind so we might as well end the pettiness and the insults. You can call me a Bryce "apologist" or "defender" if you want but still stand by my opinion that it way to early to call Bryce a bust. I knew going into this season that it will be rough and my expectations on here would be low because it's a new staff, new offense, and a new QB learning. I just know that I didn't expect it to be "one win" bad. I know some of that is on Bryce but I am a realist and I know it has a lot to do with this current staff and this scheme as well as the foundation around Bryce so to solely place all the blame on Bryce, to me, is asinine. Agree or disagree, that is your choice but, I am playing the "wait and see" approach before jumping conclusions.
  2. I swear, some of you on here have a obsession of hating on Bryce Young... Y'all really need to take a break from Football and enjoy life lol
  3. The exact reason why I can't take this guy seriously on his posts
  4. Dude, you were literally advocating for Wilks just a couple of weeks ago. I am not the one constantly bringing up Wilks. And please, stop with the Harbaugh nonsense. Y'all are acting like he is going to be the same coach he was when he was with SF.... That ship has sailed.... So how about moving on from the Harbaugh pipe dream?
  5. This is the thing that don't make sense to me at all... Folks want to go from bad to mediocre... I rather get someone in that will fix our offense and make us a consistent playoff contender... Wilks was and never will be that guy.
  6. I said this in another thread but it would not surprise me at all if Tepper went with someone out of left field. It would not surprise me at all if someone like Kellen Moore ends up as the next HC.
  7. I meaaaaaaaan, when you have Al Michaels and Kurt Kirbstreet discussing Travis Kelce's love life with his brother during our game, a game that has nothing to do with any of the Kelces... You know it is that bad
  8. For those wondering about the context of the OP, here is the link below of a summary: Adam Shefter on the future of Carolina
  9. Good luck trying to explain this to all the Bryce haters. They are generally set in their ways and when you as actually instill logic, all it is to them is "excuses."
  10. He was also under duress majority of the game and how many false starts did we have this game?? Yes, he threw some awful ints.... But to pin the whole game on him is asinine
  11. I do not think Young is the issue. Yeah, he had some bad interceptions (he is going to have bad games) but he has shown improvements through each game (besides today) The problem with today's game was more so penalties and the offensive line.
  12. Wilks was not nor never will be the answer as HC... I've said it before and I will say it again. The question you should be really asking is what would our record have been with Steichen as HC instead of Reich???
  13. Any bets that Belichick gets fired in NE and McDaniels ends up as HC?
  14. This is why many need to understand that our team is a work in progress. Under the circumstances, Bryce played pretty good but he needs better protection and seperation from receivers. I think Bryce will continue to improve. Also, I felt like the Young vs Stroud argument was over played. I think both will be successful in this league but we need to remember, they are both ROOKIES. Stroud has been incredibly lucky to have to a good supporting cast around him.
  15. So in other words... Become the Cleveland Browns where we constantly fire coaches until they get it right?
  16. Question- If Wilks had stayed on and we are in the same position (0-6) , would you still stay behind your guy? You complain because fans don't want a coach because he is mediocre but yet complain that this fanbase wants a mediocre coach... Sounds like a contradiction. By the way, not sure if some of this directed towards our conversation earlier but never did I say I wanted Reich, my argument was that I didn't really think Wilks was all that great of a HC. That said, give me a young HC (Ben Johnson or Frank Smith from the Dolphins)
  17. I'm making up excuses??? Dude, your arguments for keeping Wilks are as follows: " He rallied players behind him" And "He went 6-6 with Rhule players" Spare me your "your making up excuses" talk when you have a legit argument for keeping Wilks.
  18. You do realized that the majority of the teams we faced were below .500.... How many were actually playoff teams? Again, the record was overblown.
  19. For me- I don't hate Wilks by no means and I think he is a good defensive coach but I do feel like his record last season was way overblown. Had they won the last game against Tampa Bay, I feel like he would have probably won the HC position but quite honestly, I feel like neither should be HCs and we should've gone the "young offensive mind" route.
  20. I still believe in the "Bryce is Right" hype train... I think give him some more time, under a Thomas Brown led offense... He will be so much better and Improved.
  21. And I can argue that some of the Bryce Bashers just want to find reasons for him to fail...
  22. While he didn't directly come out say it in his introductory presser, Brown hinted multiple times in the direction of Young if you listen closely. Part of me also thinks that Josh McCown was also part of the group that wanted Bryce too. That said, I said this off-season that if we truly hit on this staff that I could see one of four young coaches (Brown, McCown, Evero, or Staley) stepping in as HC here once Reich retires... It was just a matter of if they want to wait. I didn't want a defensive guy as HC but the only exception to that would have been Ryans or Evero. I guess we will see how this outcome works out at the end of the season.
