Okay I just turned on NFL network and caught the last ten seconds of a segment titled 'panthers exploring candidates to replace Ron rivera.'. What was that about?

haha so we're talking about cam's "wins" now drop wilson on our 2011 and 2012 teams with the exact same game management and playcalling and tell me the panthers win 11 games. if cam keeps his current pace re: total yards and touchdowns and plays for say 13 years he'll be top five all time in both categories. dan marino is the only player who's scored more through his first two seasons than cam. but it's his fault the panthers have been 13-19 in his first two years right.

beason was at least an all pro that season and followed it up with another the next year. they were 1a and 1b at that time in a lot of peoples' minds. the wagner > kuechly bullshit is just trolling. injuries hurt beason more than any particular deficiency in his game. he was at the very least comparable to willis a few years back.

either you or one of your cohorts was slamming moves marty hurney made in this thread. he was the one who signed williams, stewart, and beason to those awful contract extensions and was fired in the middle of last season. our current GM has a championship pedigree and gave us a nice draft and free agency period in spite of the disaster he inherited. although hurney did draft an OROTY and DROTY in back to back drafts and landed hardy in the 6th round if you want to go there.

cam hits deep outs and other difficult sideline routes with his eyes closed which is something that i didn't see griffin do much of. the only play of griffin's like that that really stuck out to me was in the vikings game when he rolled out of the pocket and tried to strongarm a ball into a tight spot near the sideline. it had way too little velocity and antoine winfield jumped it for the interception. e: found a gif

i've spent some time watching him on game rewind he's probably in the most friendly system for a young quarterback imaginable. even though ESPN built him up like he was sitting back in the pocket picking apart defenses like brady, it's pretty obvious that there are a lot of one-read concepts in his offense if you actually watch his games. lots of quick hitters off three step drops and screens. of course, that notion would fly in the face of the "cerebral" griffin vs. "stupid" newton narrative that seems to be floating around. also his arm is only so-so and he puts up a ton of ducks when he attempts truly vertical passes.
