Daniel Jeremiah: watch what the Panthers do tomorrow
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
huddle has really fallen off. I make it to the 4th page and I didn't see a single bringing back Cam post. -
poor showing by Charlotte FC Sunday at Miami..... Losing 1-0 despite Miami going a man down in the first half.

RUMOR: Panthers offered Seahawks a trade package for DK Metcalf
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm glad it didn't work out. They just drafted a DK type in the first round. If we are going forward with Bryce, build diversity that fits his style....to really aid the pass game they need a quick YAC slot guy and a receiving RB out of the backfield. I've maintained that since the day we drafted him. Those 2 key adds are important. -
I mean, you need more than just a #1 caliber WR. It would be like just only having a top 5 QB and giving him no one to make plays around him. Maybe your #1 WR is a TE. But most really good teams, have top tier caliber receiving options.
-
yeah, I liked what I saw from Zaha. Like what he is coming into overall and what they did last year. He could be a really great add especially when he gets some chemistry going w/ the guys.
-
wasn't overjoyed Zaha was taking my boy Vargas' spot (one of my favs)......but he did a really good job of making me not being able to care about it in his Charlotte FC debut.
-
Dude hasn't been able to stay on the field for years at this point. You pretty much can't touch him outside of the type deal that would mean he could go anywhere.
-
True. But I would argue it's not that black and white. There are other convos to be had. We are also still in the mode of developing Bryce Young. I like to consider this past year his actual rookie season. Dude likely still has a long way to go. Bryce Young needs special players around him. If we ever want the O to be special. Hubbard is a solid player but he isn't great. Young needs a pass catching RB given his style. He needs a TE. He needs a WR that can take it to the house. So it's not really the CMC add. Who wasn't really natural add at all for Cam and that O. . We 100% need D. But if Morgan does to our D front what he did to our OL last year.....I'll be on board w/ helping Bryce. Which means WR/TE/RB.
-
reminder the huddle collectively disliked Luke being the pick. We were slated to go into that season with Beason, Davis and Anderson at LB.
-
majority have disliked a lot of our best first round picks in real time. I want D. I want an all D draft. That said, a Jeanty or a Warren would help the O and Bryce. Morgan has addressed his vision was for the D to be fixed like the OL was fixed. Which means, if he fixes the D with FAs I will give him more leeway in going O in the draft.
-
you stayed through Bryce's all time disaster debut, the Frank disaster, the Rhule disaster, the Jimmy Clausen era, etc. Maybe you are old enough to of lived through the Weinke era or us being so inept DeAngelo Williams basically played QB in a game. I do not believe Jeanty would break you. You were born in the darkness, molded by it.

I watched the podcast/convo w/ Burr and Corgan. That's why I made the post. Burr didn't know about the them being put together to talk. Corgan knew. Corgan thought Burr knew. Burr was pissed about airing out/addressing the rumor via Howie's show and being setup like that. I think they both conceded it's possible. I also don't think they want to know (Burr). I wouldn't say it's refuted at this stage. They certainly didn't do that on the show. They basically had a convo confirming it adds up and Mandell is a asshole. So not confirmed I guess but not refuted now that Burr talked about it w/ Corgan.
-
another fun fact about Bill Burr. Apparently, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) is his half brother. His dad went out and had 2 separate families at the same time and named both the boys the same name.

Just don’t marry someone with crazy red flags. I mean the two cheating spouses clearly had their red flags slapping folks in the face. Plenty of good humans around. Choose them
-
100% it factors. Who Steve was off the field. And 89’s career was still partly in an era where media sat on some of the bad stuff about him and didn’t air it out. We only know a % of what an asshole he was in reality.
-
legitimately thought offseason rules were in play and came to learn about my soon to be new favorite sport. Leaving thread now.
-
I give him one job. First round pick. It's would be money well spent. But that's it. Have his key card not work after that.
-
Cam addresses being called out by 89 for his talk. Cam calls people sensitive to the realities. He said he wasn't specifically talking about say Jonathan Stewart or 89 in a vacuum but the overall culture/vibe as he arrived. He then included the 2011 team as having a losing culture/mentality which included him on the roster. Needing to weed out the players who make you weak. You are what your record is. Bad teams select #1 overall.
-
True. But he didn’t just speak in general terms. Which would have been fine. He went into his actual team, which is why even folks not named 89 have taken issue with it.
-
I dream of the day my great great great grandchild watches the Carolina Panthers finally pull off back to back winning seasons as the team is lead by AIBot#7 in the year 2068
-
It's Lega-tron.
-
Oh, and you also had great dudes in house like Thomas Davis. Building was slam full of studs in reality when Cam walked in….especially when you add Olsen, Shockey to the list of what was here

Tony Pauline: Panthers like CB Will Johnson
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Best player is a DT. He also is the only legit player up front. And being the only legit guy up front lowers his ceiling. for any example of a pass rush created by great secondary play and you can name 10 great pass rushes as a byproduct of DL talent -
89 checked out of more plays and games than one could actually count. Guess it depends where his head was at in that moment I love 89.l overall. But he was a way more flawed player than huddle historians would tell it
