I think this is the best Clemson team we have seen post Trevor Lawrence. I think folks gonna have to eat a little crow about the Dabo way at the end of the year. It might not yield a top 5 team at this point in college football…..but the Dabo way still works

Sanders is the best 7 on 7 QB in college football. Throwing to probably the best WR corp in the country. He has horrific habits that aren’t going to magically disappear when he is drafted and those are QB killers in the NFL

I don’t think they are a good football team. What they do have is a bunch of random talent. QB for example is super talented. Not a good QB presently. #5 is crazy good for a true freshman. I bet he goes to the portal to the highest bidder after this year.

You ask Cade to just drop back and throw all game and it has never really worked out that well. He has to mix it up IMO. I think it’s mental.

Not to that extent. But Clemson’s O has always run their QBs. And none of them have actually been running QBs. I think there is something to some guys getting hit and defenses respecting that. Watson and Trevor weren’t running QBs. They ran though. Cade is a decent runner. As evidence the last couple weeks.

He has improved though. Clemson probably getting the best QB play this year they have seen vs the last 3 seasons. Which isn’t saying a lot. I said in recent weeks the key seems to be to run him early….he plays better after that. Which they haven’t done yet today 3 drives in. Think it gets his nerves out and he quits thinking.

First Take played decent role in ruining sports talk. It’s trash. Stephen A recently compared himself to Dak when talking about his next contract. Which sort of highlights the key issue there. The mindset of sports talk now is the host is the draw….when it should be the talk/guest and their ability to make them/that noteworthy. half the time it’s evident dudes like Stephan A don’t even do basic research and know what is going on….its just about being loud and being a character

The expectation was what we were told it would be… Canales was supposed to come in here and fix Bryce Young into a serviceable QB. I never thought it would work given Canales’ O and Bryce never matched up….and who fixes a young struggling QB by giving him a newb HC, newb OC and an O scheme he doesn’t fit. we failed miserably. I expected Bryce to look a little better. He looked worse. I think Canales always had this weird cherry picked QB guru street cred that was never real. I think some real bad football is on its way…now that teams got film on Canales/Dalton.

Clowney also is in his 11th season. He is at the stage of his career he should be a rotational piece

these 3…. Morgan getting a huge pass. He basically orchestrated a save Bryce Young mission going into this season and he was benched in 2 games. that was the selling point of the HC no other team looked at. Canales is a green newb, meh OC, and basically the only real plus sold to us is he could fix Bryce that was the point of guards and our allocation of money. Support and make life easy on the young QB. It’s what our D is a joke and was going in
