Trevor is sort of a robot. He technically has all the physical check boxes checked. But he plays dumb and lacks that ideal QB energy.

Seems like an easy week to call… Bryce will probably go for about 200 with a 60% completion with no turnovers. Some here will sing from the mountain top that everyone that ever criticized Bryce should eat crow. Repeat of last year’s Az game. Coin flip who actually wins it in the end
-
Sellars officially done for tonight. Gonna be a long season for Sellars given the exposure he is going to see behind that OL
-
I don’t even know what stats you are referring to right now. Lot of the stats now get dumb. You mentioned QB rating. Which is a pass only stat. If I’m trying to win a college football game and I get to pick any ACC QB? Give me the GT kid all day. Easy call IMO.
-
You know you can’t judge running QBs strictly via passing metrics. He is averaging 130 rushing yards and 2 TD a game on the ground to go WITH his passing
-
Um, because we are talking college football. You essentially admit you are viewing in terms of how they project in the NFL and their future. THAT makes no sense given what the convo is. it would have made you a better basketball player in HS than Rodman. Tom Brady doesn’t get to be considered a college great because he is the NFL GOAT.
-
If GT doesn’t get the kick off or shanks it wide right….then you would say it was well played. Outcome doesn’t really matter sometimes. A coach can be dumb and works out. A coach can play something smart and it not. but have at it. Doesn’t really matter. I’m willing to finally start to admit Dabo is likely done….and not using those timeouts got zero to do with it

The Golden Calf of Bristol was a better college QB than Matt Stafford. Stafford was a SIGNIFICANTLY better pro prospect and it played out that way
-
Name someone better? and I’m not talking about NFL prospect and how they project at the next level. Straight up best college QB in the ACC is the GT kid. being just a great college QB is a thing. And you can be better QB than dudes suited to be better at the next level. Take a Cam, Cam was a better college QB than almost any name you would pull out of a hat of dudes that were better in the pros

Clemson has the most talent in the ACC. Just not a good football team. Dabo knew last year he didn’t have a run game and he didn’t solve that easy problem. Cade needs a strong run to work off of. Not having that just messes up the whole thing. Clemson DL living off those that came before them too. Woods and Parker just ain’t what has been there. I mean they good but just don’t as good as advertised GT has the best QB in the ACC I might be a Clemson fan but I called Clemson and the Gamecocks going down today. Both look overrated at this stage. I think like LG said Clemson probably a bottom ish top 25 team when all said and done.
-
PLENTY of reasons to be critical of Dabo. Plenty of reasons why they lost. That coaching there at the end was fine. You can’t let outcome dictate if it was big picture good decision making to put them in that really tight spot with a career kick. It’s football. Players play. They pulled it off. You can blast Clemson for what did during those 4 quarters and leading into the season. That’s where the game was actually lost
-
I don’t think he could use those timeouts. I think not using them was the right coaching move. GT got their guys on and on top of that he made a career kick. Thats football. Putting them in that tight spot was the right call.
-
Thats one down. Think their neighbor remains on upset alert
-
Yeah, Cade will get drafted simply because QBs get drafted. But that’s a college QB.
-
Not defending Clemson. Drop them no matter what. But I hate polls/rankings even exist right now. for example, it’s framed GT would be a bad loss. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn’t. GT could be good. They would be undefeated. And they played really strong down the stretch last year beating Miami and that 8 OT UGA game at the end
-
They had the entire offseason to find someone to run the football (which isn’t hard to find). Dabo still trotting out a WR to pretend to be the RB. There offense just flat out will be work without it. O is just Cade and Cade isn’t a QB that can just one man show it. that falls on Dabo. An easy and obvious problem and his loyalty gonna cost him again

Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?
CRA replied to OldhamA's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s going to get wild after this Sunday. I would assume Dave has a really smart plan. Sorta like the AZ plan last year. After a big turnover heavy bad game Bryce normally reels it in. Bryce will have one of his standard 60% for 200 days and the Bryce defenders will use that as a “ I told you he is good” games. -

This is the second year in a row he will have the most expensive OL in all the NFL. With a rock solid backfield both seasons. That’s easy living for a QB in the NFL. Pending they can do all the basics the QB spot requires at this level -
lol. Only coddling being done is to the middle sized QB who has been the worst QB in the NFL over the course of the last 2 seasons.
-
It’s not just about throwing it shorter. Bryce was once again late getting the throw off. Which pushes Renfrow further up the field since doesn’t get it out. Bryce being late and slow pulling the trigger fugs up a lot of the throws/plays. Bryce was late getting several throws off Sunday. At least per someone that played QB in the NFL. The breakdown is in one of the threads. He was late on that one, late on the easy TD to Renfrow too. Late on the TMac underthrow too. Dan covered all those.
-
I don’t know what to tell yall, literally a NFL QB in slow motion breaks down where the ball should have gone and when…and the difference it provides Renfrow on that play. It’s two different worlds for the WR. Oh, and it’s probably then a completion of course
-
Yeah, it’s not complicated. is a seam route a hospital ball? No. can a seam route be a hospital ball ? Yes. if you are throwing seam routes do you need to make sure you don’t hang your TE/WR out to dry? Yes. Because of injury. as a former NFL QB explained….Bryce was late with the throw (common issue with Bryce) and threw it too far up field. So a seam route became a hospital ball. result? An incompletion that got his WR banged up honestly have no clue what Bryce defenders are doing at this point. I’m out on talking about all his bad throws from Sunday.
-
Immediately cast blame? We had been talking about the bad throws to Hunter (the missed TDs and hospital ball) for days leading up to that injury report. And yeah, the rib injury then becomes something to point out. and you are getting desperate with this projected extremism. No one said you should never throw seams. I shared with you an article after you scoffed at seams being routes you can get hung out to dry on….and it was the best of the best talking about the dangers of those routes. And they talked about it because they threw them a lot and there dudes were at risk so the throws really matter. Because you can hurt your receivers. we disagree, cool. I got a pro Bryce former NFL QB calling it a hospital ball and bad throw. So I got a plus +1 making my argument. Find a QB that backs your take.

The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
CRA replied to TylerDurden's topic in Carolina Panthers
TMac PI throw was a TD too. Bryce just drastically under threw it. Renfrow and TMac set themselves up to BOTH have great days. the story of last of no one was open…..isn’t a defense the Bryce Young defenders can use so far this year -
every season to date a very bad and completely washed Andy Dalton makes a token appearance to give us our passing high on the season. to say other QBs couldn’t do anything is just nuts. Big plays were all over the field Sunday and BY literally couldn’t make a single one of them happen
