the Bucs have been strong on 3rd down the last 2 seasons. So, signs point that it might not be exclusively tied to either of the coaches....and more to do to with the constant (the players/Baker). But overall, the Bucs offense was better under Cohen than Canales. Trevor was hurt last year, Etienne was hurt last. Trevor been banged up the last 2 years. I don't think the Jags O is "good" but it has the potential to be a lot more explosive than ours IMO. Trevor got that dumb/aggressive tendency to his play style (double edged sword).

3-4 is great pending you got the NT and OLBs. Meanwhile, we got none of what makes it work

I don’t believe the unofficial depth chart. And I don’t understand why the the dude who has more NFL PRs than the entire roster combined can’t crack 3rd on the PR depth chart

89 a big Renfrow fan. Didn’t seem to like much about Coker at all. which I get him liking an overachiever like Renfrow. But Coker you would think checks a lot of boxes 89 usually likes. But he seemed to dislike a lot about Coker more than his weight.

Trevor went 14 out of 17 Bryce went 4 out of 8 Trevor had 3 drives. Scored on 2 of the 3. Zero 3 and outs. Bryce had 5 drives. Scored on 1. Four 3 and outs. I mean, if you had to pick one in terms of rolling into the season. The Jags starters had a better preseason.

Jags O is definitely the more threatening and dangerous O of the two....and the defenses are likely a push.

for one the more winnable games on the schedule, it's a bad setup for us though. We are sort of limping in. Starters showed nothing in preseason to really get any excitement/confidence for week 1. Team is sort of scrambling to get their basics in a row. Last minute AT trade, Coker injury, now Icky injury. Road game. plus side, is Jags have an equally bad defense. And Trevor Lawerence is Dr. Jeckyl and Mr Hyde. Game to game and sometimes series to series. No matter the order, Panthers need to find a way to be 3-2 through the first 5 IMO. If they aren't best case becomes a 3-6 start I would think.

worst part is, UNC/Bill PR seems to have made the Jordan nonsense go away.....and it appears that might be the most entertaining part of Bill at UNC.

I still don't think Bill wants to be coaching college football. I think Bill sort of got mini-blackballed from NFL coaching (which is dumb)...and he couldn't stomach the NFL dictating his coaching end.

every year I say it.....you can not believe NFL coaches and teams. They are not in the business of letting fans know what is actually going on behind the scenes. Yet every season you got folks treating bullshitting coaches are speaking the unquestioned gospel. They tell you what they want you to think, when they want you to think it. Canales had to give a reason why his boy Moore was selected over Renfrow. We know he isn't better. All reports in camp back Renfrow as better. His resume is better. You got outside eyeballs on every rep. So, if you are Dave....you have to bullshit up a reason to give your guy a spot. Tell me a better made up one than the one Canales gave he could of sold folks? NFL teams are in the sales job. Canales sold his decision with overstated partial truths. How many Panthers are ready for a full game in FL heat week 1? Which is why he now can just pretend like it wasn't a thing. Renfrow is a niche/roleplaying slot WR. He was good enough shape to be that. Now, you can argue w/ Coker out....he isn't ready to play both Cokers and his reps. That's starting reps.

Yeah, the recent interview in front of his locker…. if you listen, Hunter regurgitates what Canales said and does it from Canales’ perspective. Coach said, coach thought, Coach wanted. Every year I explain my position that coaches are not truthful people when it comes to explaining decisions and what is going on….they aren’t in the business of letting us know what is going on behind the scenes. Nothing ever supported what Dave was selling. He saw something apparently no one covering the team every single day saw. He kept his boy and had to have a reason to explain it at the end of the day….and saying Moore was better would not sell Hunter never had said he believed such is what I am saying. That was Dave BSing his roster decisions. What coaches do. Hunter doesn’t play OL. Odds are with his select slot work and his role….he is better prepared than our lineman for week 1.
