  1. yes, I think Tepper insisted Frank have old heads to oversee all the random parts Tepper/Fitt mashed together. It jives with Teppers 180 vision post Rhule. Not wanting, as in not Frank's idea/vision but Teppers. Tepper and your boy Fitt....orchestrated a complete poo show. Nothing meshes. Nothing fits. That's where our problems start at this point. Tepper. Then Fitt. Then Frank.
  2. it's another reason I think Frank is a poor coach. Not just because he isn't adjusting to the obvious but there is zero accountability. you shouldn't trash your players....but you can't get on a microphone and tell outlandish lies. Frank Reich does that. He does that with Mingo. Reporters will ask legit questions about painfully obvious issues, and he says probably greater BS than Matt Rhule. for some reason since Frank is old, boring, and "experienced"....his complete nonsense hasn't been highlighted like Rhule's was. It's every bit as bad.
  3. He wasn’t expected to magically transform the roster overnight ….but with the hiring of Frank and move to acquire Bryce….he needed to start making real moves to cater toward the development of Bryce and suiting the new scheme and identity. His FA moves were horrible pending what Carolina’s new direction was. And his one big offensive draft pick IMO wasn’t ideal either for the new offense and Bryce. Mingo isn’t the route runner or dependable enough to be on the field and such a key part yet….but we got Miles Sanders was essentially an add for an offense we weren’t running. Chark and Theilen too. I really think Tepper has employed a cast of parts that don’t fit and forced them together. Then the icing on the cake was giving his new HC a QB he didn’t really want. And I think a lot of that is Fitt too. Dave isn’t creating all this on his own. I think it’s the GM selling him on some of these ideas. I don’t think Frank and Fitt work. I don’t think Frank and Bryce work. I frankly don’t think Frank probably even wanted Caldwell and Capers. That seems like a Dave trying over correct. He had no experience and then wanted an abundance. Even the the Brown and Evero hires don’t fit the mold of a retread like Frank. They generally go to the pool and tree/family of guys they know and have a history with for the common vision aspect. Then the Rhule holdovers on staff. I think Dave Tepper just took a bunch of random parts and names and mashed them together…..and that’s at least how we look as well.
  4. Whose taking credit for whose work? I’m sorry you invested so much of your internet street cred in praising and building up Fitterer and can’t deal with the fact he sucks. It’s ok. No one actually cares you are wrong but you.
  5. Most players largely go where the money makes the most sense.
  6. I mean the safe money is Frank didn’t have things ranked like others. But that’s a separate convo. I think Frank wanted Carr and if he drafted a guy wanted Stroud. But the front office did what they did. and Fitt did a flat out horrific job in tailoring the talent for and towards what a Frank/Bryce O would try to be. Now Frank should get blasted for his poor coaching of not adapting and evolving to his talent. Especially now that we saw what the result would be. There should be a temp survival shift. Which I have harped on for WEEKS. That’s just a bad coach being a bad coach. Mr Scott is now choosing to fixate on that… a drum I have been beating for weeks lol. But that’s a Frank is a bad coach issue. That doesn’t void how horrific Fitt was in building a team that wasn’t fit nor trending toward what Frank/Bryce would be doing and want to do. Which was all talked about leading up to this season in terms of Fitt being an idiot doofus. None of his FA adds were about what Frank wanted to be doing on O. Fitt was building a team meant for a different HC and QB. He should be blasted for that and all the other nonsense he has been involved with. Fitterer is the Matt Rhule of GMs. And Frank is an old and out dated coach. 2 things are true.
  7. lol, I have bashed Frank for months for his coaching faults. Weekly event for me here. That a poor argument you are attempting to manifest. I’m making excuses for Frank lol. I just bash your boy Fitt for his faults too….and they are many. You still too fixated on not being wrong about Fitt. I mean you are wrong. You just can’t accept it. He is a bad GM. But that’s whatever at this late stage. I got zero interesting in your Fitt defense at this point or hearing about how he hasn’t been horrible….per your created version of behind the scene events that only you are allowed to assume about
  8. They just traded up to #1 overall, gave up 2 first and DJ Moore for Bryce Young. He is the player you are supposed to dictate things around. they failed spectacularly at that. That’s your boy Fitt. And it was obvious coming in. He does the talent. And he did nothing for a Frank/Bryce O. And now you are attempting to argue Frank is at fault for not being Steve Wilks.
  9. everything about this team feels like forced marriages. Nothing jives. That was my problem coming into this season. They opted to hire Frank Reich. Then they opted to draft a QB that wasn't what a very particular HC largely was open about wanting historically. The Frank path didn't fit what we had been building on the OL. The GMs FA adds were red flagish given what the likely assumption of what we would be trying to be on O were. Then you hire some young offensive mind in Thomas and have Frank tie his hands/limit him. Then you throw dinosaur Jim Caldwell on top of it all. Felt like Tepper just went out and bought a bunch of random coaches and smashed them all together. No evidence there is a real vision being worked on here. Nothing looks to be synced up. And Fitt doesn't seem at all on the right page given what the HC and QB were going to be. If we were going to play gun all day.....we needed a different backfield, we need quick speed at WR. Ball was going to need to come out quick. D was going to be clamped down and coming hard at Bryce from the jump. We are playing small ball without small ball skill talent. And it's going exactly how it was discussed it would before the season kicked off. That's not Hubbard/Sanders. That's not Theilen, TMJ, Chark or even a raw rookie Mingo (because his routes are trash this young) this season has gone exactly how I feared. Only much worse. I was too optimistic.
  10. This front office hired Frank Reich to coach their team. The front office then drafted Bryce Young. They moved in a new direction. There is nothing about any they did that aligns with a road grading 3 yard and a cloud of dust offense. Frank and Bryce were never going to be part of that type offense. In the ultimate mental gymnastics to defend Scott Fitterer, it's Frank's fault for not running Steve Wilks offense. Well, Scott should of made sure Steve Wilks was hired then. this all goes back to this past offseason when I explained to you why they needed to fire trash Scott Fitterer. You need the GM and HC on the same page, same timetable, etc. Clearly, these two aren't on the same page. Talent never matched what the O was going to be. Which was discussed very often this offseason. From the OL, to the RBs to the WRs. This was not the talent needed given what we would be. And you can probably add the QB into that too. It's not a Frank Reich QB. It's all a predictable bad marriage.
  11. I wouldn't say they are emulating high powered offenses. I mean, the route concepts and playcalls don't really show that. This is also Frank's 8th season being a playcaller....and he has netted only 2 1000 yard WRs to date in his career as a playcaller (and one of those barely got there) I still think if John Fox was an offensive HC, his name would be Frank Reich. Thielen obviously should get there and make Frank's 3rd. Obviously, nothing high powered about any of that though.
  12. there is definitely fatigue. It's just too much. That said, Loki is top notch Marvel. I also thought I would hate Owen Wilson being injected into this show but it ended up being great.
  13. I'm not sure of a lot. What I am sure of....is we will not be offending some Tenn Karen when we get in the endzone. because we won't be. And if we do, it will be treated as the miracle it legitimately has proven to be.
  14. End of the day, they have a matchup they can lean on. Derrick Henry vs our run defense. End of the day, we once again, don't. We could win, but the safe bet is on the Titans.
  15. I agree. That's hindsight kicking in. There was the corner debate of Horn vs Surtain and outside of that squabble, Fields probably had the biggest following behind him in real time. Taking a swing at the QB but a lot couldn't get on board after the front office signed Sam Darnold. there was a little Parson talk but it was small and largely squashed with needing to move on from the classic Hurney LB/RB play. But largely acknowledged to be the safest play.
  16. look, the NFL just like every other faucet of life is slam full of idiots. It's a universal fact of life. You got idiots in uniform, on staff and in front offices. You got people that sometimes can't see what is right in from of their face for a multitude of reasons from ego, bias, stubbornness, etc.
  17. I still don't get these gymnastics. Frank Reich is clearly running what Frank Reich runs. His offenses are well documented. It makes no sense to suggests that Frank somehow wanted to do something he has never done in the NFL on O and Tepper was like no Frank, you have to run type O you have always run. Frank is an old dog doing what Frank does. Now, I can get on board with the notion that Frank didn't get the QB he preferred. But that's not really an excuse for how bad his O is. Because it's not like he is just missing the QB play. *and I realize you weren't digging into that thought and arguing that it is true. I just commenting on top of your post.
  18. Dalton has been playing in the NFL for 100 years and it took the most pass attemtpts in his career for us to reach that pedestrian pass mark….while he was under comical pressure. external force? Frank is running what Frank runs. And Frank has run it poorly and it not worked in every place he has ever been. It’s how he gets fired.
  19. last year with Chargers, he lead the NFL shotgun %, run game was league worst with his predictable inside bologna, bullshit screens and predictable pass game. said it from day 1. He is an offensive Fox/Rivera. Talent has to overcome the fact everyone knows what is going. And when you don’t have the talent to overcome his bad O…you get the end in SD, Indy and now here.
  20. well, that sounds like you need to bench the rookie QB and have a reset.
  21. well, I don't buy that. Tepper hasn't actually been that radical. He came in and gave Ron a fair enough shot. He gave Rhule way more time than he deserved. He is willing to spend money on staff and whatever else. Tepper has just been horrific in his choice for GM and HC. Frank probably will get way more time than he deserves. Tepper just needs to make good hires. They will exist.
  22. sure they will. only 32 of the these gigs on planet Earth. Tepper isn't the first or last problematic owner. League has always had plenty of Teppers.
  23. I'm not seeing this Tepper under the bus thing. Frank Reich was never going to come in here and play Wilks football. That's not per Dave not to. Frank is doing what Frank does. Frank doesn't play Wilks football and never has.
