Well I 100% agree you deep dive for any player and create almost any narrative/argument. Thats why at the end of the day, your take when the clock strikes zero is largely the most solid IMO. Was TMac good? Yes. Was XL bad? Yes. The I need to watch the tape first mentality and check out the analytics sites to form an opinion…..gets real squirrely.

Because if your intent to is to go back and figure out why he wasn't better than he was..... you can simply find ways the team didn't help him as much as they could of.....with ease. Any QB. It's now the 3 straight season openers of explaining away why Bryce wasn't as horrific as it seems. My days of doing the Dwyane Jarrett defense are long over ( I used to be that dude). I mean, I just don't get what folks are doing at this point with him. I have rewatched. I have rewatched others also rewatching with their takes on it all too. It's Bryce. Hyper fixating on a play that you rewatch a hundred times to build the case for the 3rd straight opener of why he doesn't stink as bad as he stunk? Yeah, it's just Bryce. You really won't need to watch the all-22 in his next stinker to know it's Bryce....when you figure that out on Sunday already.

If you think someone shared some bad data on PFF (and is falsely slandering your PFF) well....then you post the QB rankings and show where that 71.5 stacks up week 1 vs the field. I don't pay for PFF and won't. I just go off of what others say on PFF.

also, let's not worry that they ranked him #9 overall to the avoid the maybe everyone was also bad logic being applied. Let's just stick with how high of a grade they gave him. Because it's not just where he was ranked. They gave him a strong grade for the day he had. so again, if Bryce Young's performance on Sunday equals a solid grade in your ratings system (he was really bad)......then something is off with your grading. I got no need to argue how wild that rating is they gave him Sunday. It just flat out is. If you can't smell something is off with PFF at times, then nothing would convince you. It's been discussed for years that whatever they do over there (while good at many things).....often spits out some real bonkers stuff ( I don't know the why). BY week 1 highlights how bonkers they sometimes get.

we have a bunch of PFF people at Carolina now in the analytics department. A bunch of old articles about how valuable those folks have been to Dan Morgan in shaping the team the past 2 years. Analytics certainly has it's place. But I think it can also be taken to hogwash levels in sports.

What I know is if you are selling me that your "ratings" rank Bryce as a top 10 performance last Sunday at QB.......then something ain't right. Everyone can hypothesize for fun as they wish but something isn't right with how you go about your grading there. Bryce sort continues to stand out as a redflag in how they got about whatever they do there. Week 1 highlights that so well (and it was spoken about last year often)

Breaking down their math. 3 incompletions were on the WR. 14 incompletions not on the WRs. certainly doesn’t add up to the WRs let him down and that’s why we had 70 passing yards with 8 minutes left in the game

Bryce also has a very low completion % Sunday. 30th ranked at 51.4%.

As far as the Mays needing to start because of the snap issue….it probably would just be better to not have your C snapping literally every ball as the play clock dances between 1 and 0. I’m sure a lot of those high snaps were just largely tied to desperately trying to avoid taking a penalty. Which isn’t so much a C issue but an offensive operational issue.

He only had pressure because he was late…..and he couldn’t get it out there late because he can’t throw off his back foot well with this weak arm. so I got a NFL QB that backs me. Who you got backing your take?

My guy. The league is slammed full of guys that can make those basic catches. My guy, Bryce has proven he can’t make those throws well. You have SEVERAL examples Sunday alone. * BY’s deep ball placement wasn’t good at Bama and that been talked about for years here at this point. It’s a big problem in the NFL…..because there isn’t 10 yards of separation and NFL guys are only NFL open. Not Bama open.

You mean week 18? Play anyone enough at this level and they can stumble into a good game. Overall his comeback was overstated. He didn’t actually play great. Largely flirting with average was sold as great. It was all Bryce vs Bryce…..not how he really stacked up vs the league.

I mean I can name 20 issues. But if you don’t start with the primary issues, the smaller ones don’t matter. been saying it since the day was drafted. I don’t care which direction they go….just pick. A Bryce centric O or move on. 2nd coach they have hired isn’t running an O that fits him. Round peg and square hole. And Bryce has been too bad to dump Dave and start from scratch year 4 and finally doing it. You want it to be me just moaning about Bryce. I’ve done all the other issues. Bryce is simply the biggest issue and fix given where we are. I started talking about round pegs and desire holes when he was first paired with Frank. It’s failure by design and the miserable thing is lazy. It’s just being willing to state what people don’t want to hear. Everyone hated when I talked about Frank’s O paired with Bryce was doomed. So mad I would talk about Frank at first. Now everyone is cool with it. Bryce Young flat out doesn’t fit these offenses and you can’t make him. Just reality. Nothing matters until they go a real direction and quit pairing stuff that isn’t going to work. Not Bryce’s fault, it’s Carolina with the bad recipe

Tanking is a front office thing, not a coach and player thing. Tanking is real though. Well, attempts at are. Gets tricky as your basically are in a battle with yourself. Wilks and company are the shining example of what tanking is hard

Renfrow set Bryce up for 2 huge plays, possibly both TDs. Bryce botched them both. Renfrow’s nifty route running away from the play also bailed Bryce out of a HORRIFIC pick 6 (that would have been his 4th turnover on the day). Bryce repaid him with a hospital ball. Bryce botched the big sideline homerun to TMac as well. PI at least mitigated that to a degree. XL didn’t get his foot down on one play. He should have. Bryce was the biggest issue Sunday. Plays were there. He couldn’t make basically any of them. Zero
