  1. Yeah, that’s gotten blurred. For example seeing Theilen deep and open…. Opponents are just flat out giving Bryce stuff on downs. The ball wasn’t going there. And then on other downs they could setup and bait the 3rd and long to be short. They happily give that up too. I still think Dalton could have a good debut. New is just an advantage. But that’s short lived
  2. I don't see why so many are making this hard we drafted a QB that doesn't have the tools to be a good NFL QB THEN we choose to set the table for it to go as bad as it possibly could go. So whatever he could of been (which wasn't going to be good enough)......we made sure it never happened. Two things can be true. Generally in life multiple things are true. All discussion boils down to it has to be one and if it is one...it can't be the other.
  3. I don't see how people fall into the same repeated traps. Sam Darnold has told everyone what he is. A billion times. He will occasionally have decent games. Especially early in a season. And especially when throwing to the literal best WR in the game of football. Sam Darnold is not a good NFL QB
  4. He is 4th in snaps and getting about half the offensive snaps. Which is pretty good for the rookie. I still think Thielen sort of screws up the opportunity share. I'm not a Mingo guy but I would hate for XL to only eat into his. Want both them repping a lot.
  5. voters are the voters. Lot of WRs in the mix. Many with hardware. And it's just a flat out reality then when it's close, 89 essentially going to pay the price for being a jerk to so many. I think Reggie Wayne, Holt and probably even Boldin got better odds. Not saying they were better actual WRs in the field though.
  6. pro football reference says the average HOF C has 5 all pro selections. So he is coming in light of the average.
  7. Jake Delhomme and Stephen Davis are on the list. Not knocking them, but that list is pretty broad right now. Those 2 will never make it. Big 3 with a shot right now got to be Luke, Allen and 89. I’d probably rank them in that order in terms of odds.
  8. IMO we do a variation of this every season. everything aligns with it being Tepper. people just want it to be Canales. Because it should be in a well run org. We know we aren’t.
  9. probably more which QB does. The really bad Cade or the just sorta bad Cade.
  10. Bryce was unquestionably his QB after the loss after the meeting, Dalton was the starter he point blank was given several opportunities to say it was his call and Tepper supported the move. He refused and couldn't. he would dance around a bunch of bologna like "i had a thought" and stuff like that. It's pretty clear IMO what happened.
  11. that locker room knows he was called into daddy Tepper's Monday morning meeting and Canales pulled a hard 180 when he walked out
  12. I mean, I'm looking forward to seeing XL, Sauders and Mingo hopefully get some real work. I was done with Bryce before the season started just because I know he doesn't have the tools. but I'm still not going to excuse the folks in charge here from what they did. They are like the Bryce Young of running a football org.
  13. Clemson 100 NC State 2 Let's go! The comeback season is on. ROY bus gassed up!
  14. I'm just reading from the script, The Carolina Panthers: It Can Always Get Worse screenplay. It just seems like something that would totally happen.
  15. Before he played his 17th game.... 3 HCs (current a first timer), 2 OCs (both first timers), 2 completely new offensive schemes, a combo of OL that might break a calculator trying to figure out the number of unique lineups. Neither of the 2 HCs let him rep preseason games going into either season. Current brand new O playing to his weaknesses....that features new WRs to learn, OL to trust, etc. Saying but we paid for 2 guards and added new WRs....doesn't change the blender they put him through. The pass folks give this org is crazy. Yes, Bryce Young is not a NFL QB. It was a mistake to draft him. I'm glad he is benched. But I can say all that....and still acknowledge what a joke this org was doing all they did. They drafted Bryce Young (which was a mistake) but then they handled that as badly as one could imagine.
  16. Andy Dalton hasn't played 16 games since 2017. Dude is older. We aren't really positioned for too hard of a victory lap on never seeing Bryce Young play again.
  17. I don't know. Everyone defines game manger different. My preference is using the word gunslinger. I mean, you want to reel them in and control them...but the offenses talked about were all sort of dependent on the gunslinger mindset IMO.
  18. There is no point in paying attention to anything Canales is saying. It's all just PR gobbly goo.
  19. Bryce Young struggled early at Alabama. Above the shoulders. New could just be something he doesn't actually do well.
  20. Geno and Baker statistically stood out in one very specific aspect. League leading. You can't just be a game manger IMO. The downfield deep pass is they key to those prior offenses working out.
  21. the only prolific scorer that pays attention to us Steph Curry. and she isn't going to say his name because then someone could ask him about whatever she is implying that isn't real.
  22. A team that wanted Bryce wouldn't be signing him to step in Sundays to fill the hole of an injured starter. You acquire him to develop him (and that's not a Sunday activity).
  23. I think Canales' main reason he got the job.....is because of the work he can put in behind a podium. I think that's really why Tepper hired him. Main reason Ron Rivera got hired in DC IMO was because they needed the boxes he checked publicly as they endured what they were going through. He is polished and says all the nothingness in a manner Tepper probably has been dying for. Rhule was horrible behind the mic. Frank was horrible behind the mic. Canales can get up their and sing and dance and say whatever needs to be said in the moment. The whole positive of Canales and there really was only ONE primary one we were sold.....has already been flushed down the toilet.
  24. my brother's in laws neighbor said Jake Delhomme was at the Bojangles near BOA and appeared to have his cleats with him.
