It would be the McCaffrey load of picks correct? Makes you wonder if this was a reason for the trade.
-
Yep.
-
The guy is guaranteed to go in the first. So it’s $5 mil to stay or 10-30 mil to get drafted.
-
Top 5 draft pick contracts are $30 to $37m with 20-25m signing bonuses. NIL isn’t touching that yet.
-
Very true. However, it’s easy to avoid a team you don’t like. Just blow the interview. Give bad answers, insult the coach, talk about how much you like massages, or standing outside schools watching kids play. It’s not hard.

Only one playoff team in the NFC had/has a 1st round draft choice at QB.

This is the 3rd thread on this exact topic. Finding an Elite player in the draft is a lot of luck BUT the odds are much higher when you draft first round talent. The data on that is clear as day. Guys drafted in the first TYPICALLY have higher levels of arm talent and better game film. Hence why teams gave them a first round grade in the first place. Are there guys who would be great if given a chance like Purdy? Absolutely, but the overwhelming majority of 7th round QBs would get their coaches fired. There is no magic formula. Get the guy you think has IT regardless of the round. -
The only good reason to stay would be if he thinks he’ll be an average or below QB in the NFL. If that’s the case, it makes sense to milk that Ohio state NIL before moving on to the pros where a big second contract (and playing time) isn’t guaranteed.

One Reason to be Optimistic this time around in the HC Hiring Cycle
Tbe replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, that’s what I remember seeing. Tepper was more sold than Hurney was going in. Hurney had to be convinced a bit more hence why he did more talking. -

This is wrong. The account of events from Tepper himself was Tepper and Drummond loved Rhule. They had to convince Hurney. Hurney probably saw the BS but wanted to make the boss happy. -
Shes already unlocked that achievement. She’s moving on to other quests.
-
Nicole isn’t team president. She’s just an ‘executive’ of Tepper sports and co-owner. Gayle Benson (saints). She was an interior designer before marrying her late husband. Jody Allen is the sister of the previous owner. Im sure there are a few more.
-
Its why it sucks. Only a few teams have the money to amass all that talent. The rest just play for fun basically.

Is that Darold’s little Brother?
-
She’s probably just in charge of giving the stadium tour after each interview and cooking meatballs.

I think we’ll target Levis and trade up with Arizona. Edit: Arizona’s draft slot jumped since I last saw it. We could get stroud if we work a deal with them. Also, Young could fall pretty far because of his size. I don’t think he’s a lock in the top 5 at all.

Lol….Well I guess that’s all that matters (cherry picked stat). Ill still take Mahomes over Cousins.
-
Let’s be honest…Aside from Hurts, those AFC QB’s are miles better than the NFC QBs.

Maybe THIS is why Harbaugh wants back in the NFL
Tbe replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
There was plenty there, they just chose to let it slide. From the NYTimes: CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The N.C.A.A. did not dispute that the University of North Carolina was guilty of running one of the worst academic fraud schemes in college sports history, involving fake classes that enabled dozens of athletes to gain and maintain their eligibility. But there will be no penalties, the organization said, because no rules were broken. In a ruling that caused head-scratching everywhere except Chapel Hill, the N.C.A.A. announced on Friday that it could not punish the university or its athletics program because the “paper” classes were not available exclusively to athletes. Other students at North Carolina had access to the fraudulent classes, too. -

This dude has so many red flags. Why do we want another ego maniac college coach again? We just had one of those.- 75 replies

I know, but it makes a difference when people see it happen. The emotional impact of seeing something happen vs just hearing about is night and day. We’ve all had those ‘you had to be there’ experiences. -

It was obviously a ref saying it. There was no one else down there at the time with the authority to say something like that. Not a big deal. Those refs didn’t have the power to cancel the game so they probably thought they didn’t have a choice.
